Newton’s Nook Holiday Release – Day 2

Welcome to another fabulous day of reveals for the Newton’s Nook holiday release. Today we’ve got some classic images to share and a bundle of inspiration!

Dear Santa

Nutcrackers

I had so much fun creating with these images! First I’ve got a set of Christmas tags using all of the images from Dear Santa for you.

I stamped and colored my Santas with copics, then used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Next, I cut my tags from the Fancy Edges Tags dies in kraft, green and white. I inked the kraft with the reindeer stencil and inked the bottom edge of the fancy top with some green for a little texture. I adhered the layers together and then stamped and heat embossed my sentiments from Dear Santa. Once those were cooled off I colored the outline word with a red copic marker. I popped my images up with foam squares and did a little glossy accents in various places for finishing touches.

This nutcracker card was a complete labor of love! It took a bit of fussing but I just love how it turned out.

I started by stamping my image, coloring him with copics and using the coordinating dies to cut him out. Then I die cut the slimline panels and stenciled the new tiny trees on the white one. The panels are adhered together and I set to die cut a bundle of the Pines and Holly dies. I adhered all the pieces together with liquid glue and let them dry while I worked on my sentiments. I stamped and heat embossed one, using the foliage as a guide so I knew it would fit. Then I used the die cut sentiment from the set and layered black and gold together to help it pop. Everything was adhered to the scalloped panel with liquid glue except the nutcracker himself which is popped up. Then the scalloped panel is popped up with foam tape on a card base. I finished it off with some glossy accents on the holly berries, bow and parts of the nutcracker too.

  16. This card and tags are so cute, the sentiments go perfectly with these stamp sets they did an amazing job on designing them love all of the inspiration I got from this holiday release today

  24. Ohhh how I love those Santa tags layered with his reindeer! And that nutcracker slimline is too perfect and I must make one just like it (if that’s OK LOL)! Seriously, they are awesome.
