Welcome to a fresh, new week everyone! Thanks for stopping by today. I’m keeping things very clean and simple to start a very busy week. I have loved House-Mouse Designs for decades and am very happy to see them working with Spellbinders. I have the Daisy Mouse stamp set and chose to have some mellow watercolor time to create with it first.

My version of watercolor is more faux watercolor than anything. I stamped my image and sentiment on a piece of watercolor paper cut to 4×5.25 inches. All of my color is laid down with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I use a wet paintbrush to move the color around.

I love the feel of watercolor and how it doesn’t have to be perfect to look gorgeous. Also remember that if you dry your ink between applications, it’s easy and so pretty to layer colors on top of each other for different looks.

When my painting was done but the panel was drying, I created a white card base but wanted to add some color to the edge. I grabbed picked raspberry distress oxide and added a light layer around the edge that would show through but the pink was not working for me. So I went right over the top with ripe persimmon and LOVE the melon color that I ended up with. It’s so pretty!
Once the watercolor panel was dry I just popped it up on the card base with foam tape and my card is all finished.
