Pretty Pink Posh – Christmas Card Inspiration

Happy weekend everyone! I’m popping in with a couple of fun Christmas cards featuring some Pretty Pink Posh goodies I had ordered a while ago but had yet to ink up. Shame, shame! Haha! Anyway, they are having a sale on the Christmas section of the store so I’ll have affiliate links below if you’re feeling inspired at all.

Any of the stamp sets out there where a critter is holding a sign and I get to put a sentiment in it…I’m a huge fan of! Totally drawn to them and want them all. Soooo, I had to get this adorable Christmas set – Holiday Signs. Today I stamped a couple of them and colored them with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I had a couple of cards sketched out already so I just set to work with more die cutting and ink blending. Let’s look at the Santa one first.

Pretty Pink Posh has a line of dies that cut out scenes like the winter scene on this card, and I just love them! Today I cut the pieces from colored and glitter cardstock and adhered them to a plain white circle for stability.

Next, I took a dark blue panel and cut to A2 size before using the lattice stencil with a blending brush and white pigment ink. I splattered the panel with pearl watercolor and started assembling everything. The stenciled panel went on a card base, then the winter scene was popped up with foam tape and the Santa was adhered with a combo of liquid glue and a foam square to keep him flat.

So sweet, right!?! I just love how this one turned out! Next up, the super fun snowman!

For this card, I die cut the Merry Christmas Script form red cardstock, lost the dot on the “i” and freaked out for a minute. I set it aside and proceeded with my card. Next, I used the coordinating dies for the Spring Circles set (I love this shape!) from plaid cardstock and light blue.

Moving on to the background before assembling every, I inked up a white panel with distress oxide ink in tumbled glass around the outside and salty ocean in the center so it gets a bit darker. I spritzed the panel with water and flicked pearl watercolor on it too.

For assembly, I added foam tape to the back of the blue panel and popped it up on a white card base, then I popped up the other elements with foam squares. I used liquid glue to adhere the Merry Christmas Script die cuts and then contemplated die cutting another dot when I remembered that I have the beautiful Pretty Pink Posh pearl collection! I pulled out the red pearls and glued one on instead!

For finishing touches on both of these cards, I used glossy accents, on parts like Santa’s boots and gloves, the snowman’s nose and hat. Then I added unicorn Stickles to Santa’s hat and finished things off with black glaze pen on both of their eyes.

Miss Ink Stamps – Wishing You a Cool Yule

Hello again! I hope your week is going fantastic! I’m having a blast doing all things Christmas – decorating, crafting, baking – all of it! And today I have an adorable Miss Ink Stamps Christmas card featuring the newly release Have an Ice Day penguins! They are too cute and I just love coloring them!

I started by stamping images from Have an Ice Day and colored them all with my copic markers. Then I used the scan-n-cut to cut them out and used liquid glue to adhere all the bits and pieces to my sweet penguins.

Next, I blended distress oxide ink in rustic wilderness and mowed lawn on an A2 panel and spritzed it with water. I blotted it dry and ran it through my die cutter with the Pretty Pink Posh Storybook 2 die. I love these dies and how they give you something to ground your images. They also make fun shaker cards if you feel like doing that.

I adhered the main part of the inked panel to my white card base with liquid glue and then popped the windows back in place with foam squares for a little dimension and interest.

Then I added all of my images and sentiment strip with foam squares as well. For finishing touches I added a scattering of PPP Shamrock pearls across the design. Last I couldn’t resist a little unicorn Stickles and glossy accents on the penguins and their accessories.

Isn’t this little penguin family just the sweetest!?! I can’t get over how cute the hat is with the reindeer antlers coming out of it. It makes me giggle every time.

Pretty Pink Posh – Caroling Critters

Welcome everyone! Thanks for stopping by today. I’m sharing a clean and simple Christmas card featuring the Caroling Critters from Pretty Pink Posh. I love this set but with no coordinating dies I decided to come up with a window style design for them.

I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored it with my copic markers. Then I used the Trinity Stamps Embossed Edge Rectangle dies to cut a panel from kraft cardstock. For my window opening I used an old MFT arched stax set. I lined the kraft with foam strips and popped it on the scene panel.

I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Joy stamp set and trimmed it into a strip. I added some foam tape to the back of the, doubling the layer in the center so it would lay nicely and placed it over the scene.

I cut another embossed rectangle from red cardstock and adhered it to a white card base and then adhered my scene panel to that.

Moving on to finishing touches, I just added some glossy accents to critter noses and unicorn Stickles to the hat pom poms and open music notes.

I found that this layout idea would work great for me to stamp multiple scenes out and color on the go. Just an idea since it might work for you too.

Pretty Pink Posh – Hello Fall

Hey friends! Last weekend I got my most recent Pretty Pink Posh release order and could not wait to play! I inked up those sweet Cozy Fall Critters and colored my heart out! Then I had to play with the new Leaves Background stencil too! After I inked up a large panel with the stencil I cut it down for my first card which left me with a good size strip left and I couldn’t just waste it so I made another card to share too!

Aren’t these cards just too fun!?! I love how they turned out! The one on the right was the first and the one on the left was the second one I created. Getting two fantastic cards out of one background is so rewarding and kind of fun to challenge myself to do too!

For this card, I popped the stenciled panel up with foam tape and added a strip of gold glitter paper to the edge. Then I popped the images up with foam squares before finishing things off with white gel pen accents and glossy accents too!

I’ll admit I didn’t plan for a sentiment on this so when I finally decided to add it, I popped the whole card in my MISTI, removing the foam insert so it was flat enough to stamp on, and stamped it that way.

Keeping to the same theme with this card, the stenciled panel is popped up again and the same gold glitter cardstock was added to the edge. I popped the images up to the same level as the stenciled panel and stamped my sentiment in the top right corner this time.

I used the same white gel pen accents and glossy accents for this sweet card as well.

Products used on these cards:
Cozy Fall Critters stamps and dies
Fall Corners stamps and dies
Leaves background stencil
Blending buddy brush
Thermoweb 3D tape roll
Ultra Bond liquid adhesive
Scrapbook adhesives foam squares
Glossy accents
Copic markers

Pretty Pink Posh – Happy Halloween Shaker Card

Happy weekend my friends! I’m still on the Halloween roll so I have another fun one to share with you today. It’s a shaker card featuring lots of goodies from Pretty Pink Posh – some from the new release and some older.

I started my card by die cutting the boo shaker die twice from black cardstock. Then I cut 2 pieces of vellum to fit and used liquid glue to adhere it to the back of one and front of another. Then I lined the edge with foam tape, sprinkled my shaker bits and sealed it up. This way my shaker mechanism is it’s own thing and I can move it around to decide final placement.

Next, I stamped and colored images from Halloween Pals with my copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Then I arranged them around my Shaker mechanism and used liquid glue to adhere them where possible.

Next, I decided to ink blend my background…big shocker, I know. Haha. I used seedless preserves, ripe persimmon and carved pumpkin. I spritzed it with my distress sprayer and flicked black acrylic paint on it too. After trimming the ink blended panel down, I adhered it to an A2 card base and adhered my shaker and images with a combination of foam squares and liquid glue.

Full transparency…didn’t like how plain it was and wanted another sentiment so I carefully used my MISTI and stamped Happy Halloween below the shaker. Then I stamped and heat embossed the stars in the set with glow in the dark embossing powder, die cut and adhered them with liquid glue as well. This made me super happy!

I went and hid in my closet with my card and boy did those stars glow! It was super cool and made me happy. After this was a success I went back to the craft room for finishing touches on my card.

I used black glaze pen on the critter eyes and glossy accents on their noses, hats and the pup’s hook. Then I used Stickles on the pumpkin openings for glitzy light coming through their jack-o-lanterns.

I had so much fun creating this card and hope you liked it too!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Boo

Happy Tuesday friends! It’s Tuesday Tea with Twiddler’s Nook over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers today and I had some spooky fun creating today’s card! I used some newly released Halloween goodies from Pretty Pink Posh with the never-failing, ever-amazing Trinity Stamps Coffee Mug Card die.

To start, I die cut the coffee mug card from black cardstock. Then I inked it up with the spooky sky layering stencil set and pigment inks. For the last layer I used ThermOWeb glitz glitter gel to have sparkly black bats! To decorate the mug a little more I die cut the boo portion from the center of the boo shaker die from silver cardstock and also 4 times from white cardstock. I trimmed the word out and glued them together for the layered effect. Next, I chose 3 of the supporting images from the Halloween Wreath stamp set and colored them with my copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and popped them up with foam squares on my mug.

At first I was going to make this a shaped card but I switched gears and ink blended a fun Halloween background instead. I used distress oxide inks in twisted citron, blueprint sketch and seedless preserves. I spritzed it with my distress sprayer and also flicked black acrylic paint on it. After the panel was dry I die cut it with the Trinity Stamps Modern Embossed Rectangle die.

I adhered the inked panel to an A2 size card base, glued my mug closed and to my card front and trimmed off anything hanging over the edge. For finishing touches I drew a web string from the end of “boo” to the top of my spider so it looks like it’s hanging down. Then I also added white gel pen accents to the images and black glaze pen to their eyes.

I know there are people clutching on to the last of summer but this girl is BEYOND READY for all thing FALL! These cards are just making my heart so happy to create! Where do you stand? Pumpkin spice or hand me another iced latte?

Pretty Pink Posh – Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends! I have a really fun themed card to share with you featuring stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I baked some blueberry muffins and delivered them to my parents with this card just for fun.

To create the card, I die cut one of the Stacked Edges 3 dies from red, white and blue cardstock and handful of times. Then I used liquid glue to adhere them to a white scrap of cardstock. Then I die cut the panel with the a Large Stitched Rectangle from Lawn Fawn. I adhered it to a card base and moved on to stamping and heat embossing.

The images for this card are all from the Pretty Pink Posh 4th of July set. I stamped and colored some with my copic markers and heat embossed others. Once I was finished, I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Copic Color Map for this card:

Reds – R27, R29 (stars, banner and fireworks)

Blues – B37, B39 (stars, banner and fireworks)

Grays – C00, C3 (sparkler stick and slight shading on white areas

Once everything was cut out, I used a combination of foam squares and liquid adhesive to adhere all of my images in place. For finishing touches I just added a little silver Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the sparklers.

Isn’t this a totally fun and festive card?!? I just love it!

Paperie Ink – Bearing Hugs

Hello friends! I hope your week is starting off splendid and that you’re not melting like we are in the PNW. Today I am stopping by to share the card that I made my dad for Father’s Day. That weekend was cram packed with end of school, dance auditions and dance recital so we didn’t get to see my dad to celebrate. Well, I finally saw him yesterday to give him his card and gift so I can finally share the fun card that I made for him.

I started off by heat embossing those sweet bears from Paperie Ink’s Bear Hugs and watercoloring them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used the scan-n-cut to cut them out and then switched gears to the background.

For that I ink smooshed Lawn Fawn kiddie pool and blue jay inks on a white panel. Once the panel was dry, I ran it through my laminator to really flatten it out and die cut 3 Pretty Pink Posh diamond tags from it.

Then I took a piece of woodgrain cardstock from my stash and trimmed it to slimline size. I used Lawn Fawn walnut ink and a blending brush around the edges for a little depth. Then I smooshed the ink pad on my glass mat, spritzed it with water and flicked it all over the panel.

I used liquid adhesive to adhere the panel to a white slimline card base and then added foam tape and squares to the back of the tags and images. I equally spaced out the tags and adhered them down. Then I added the bear images on top of those. I stamped a sentiment from Bear Hugs and used the Trinity Stamps 4-Bar Card die set to cut it into a banner. I used a foam strip to adhere it underneath the middle bears.

For finishing touches on my card, I added a scattering of Trinity Stamps Boiled Sugar Jelly Drop Hearts across the design. Then I took the Newton’s Nook Mom and Dad stamp set and stamped Happy Father’s Day on the inside where I would write my message.

I am so happy with how this card turned out and was excited to give it to my dad. He really seemed to enjoy it too!

Products used on today’s project:
Paperie Ink Bear Hugs
Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Diamond Tag dies
Trinity Stamps 4-Bar Card dies

Pretty Pink Posh – Sending Good Vibes

Hello everyone! Today I have a super bright and fun card featuring some of the newest release from Pretty Pink Posh. I absolutely adore everything in this release and couldn’t wait for my orders to arrive!

For today’s card, I started by playing around with Color Burst watercolor powders on watercolor paper and a spray bottle. Oh boy did I make a huge mess! But it was loads of fun! I highly recommend it.

I sprayed my paper with water and shook a little chartreuse powder on it, then sprayed it some more and used my heat gun to push the water around. Once that was dry I shook a teeny bit of fuchsia powder and sprayed it with water, repeating the same thing with the heat gun until my panel was dry. Even when I used watercolor paper, my paper warps when I do things like this so I always run it through the laminator a couple of times to flatten it back out.

Next, I taped my panel down on my glass mat, sprayed the squiggles stencil with pixie spray and adhered it over top. Then I spread iridescent glitter glitz gel through the stencil. I removed it and set the panel aside to dry while I cleaned up.

Then I stamped and heat embossed the summer wreath image in white on vellum and used the coordinating dies to cut it out. Finally I stamped that cute lion from Summer Fun and colored him with my copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut him out and started assembling my card.

I used liquid glue to adhere the stenciled panel to a white card base. Then smeared a thin layer of liquid adhesive behind the wreath and put it in place as well. At this point, I put a stack of acrylic blocks on top of the whole card front while the liquid glue dried. Then I added foam squares behind my lion and popped him in place.

I finished things off with some white pearls from Pink & Main and some glossy accents on the lion’s glasses and nose.

Such a messy fun card to create and I love how everything turned out too!!!

PPP Summer Wreath stamps and dies
PPP Squiggles stencil
Pink & Main Essential Pearls
Thermoweb Pixie Spray

Glossy Accents

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – National Iced Tea Day

Hey friends! It’s National Iced Tea Day and we’re having a fun celebration with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers team! A few of us have created cards inspired by this fabulously fine drink and we want to share with you! So grab a nice tall glass and sit back for some fun inspiration!

For my card today, I stamped and colored images from Pretty Pink Posh Summer Friends and Tropical Birds. I colored them with my copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Then I die cut the larger Scallop Diamond Tag from white cardstock. I went back and cut the bottom tip two more times from white cardstock as well. Then I used a couple of Lawn Fawn dies to cut the top edges of those portions – waves and a sandy hill.

I used Trinity Stamps blending buddy brushes to ink up the layers – sand is Lawn Fawn doe ink, waves are Lawn Fawn forget me not ink and the sky is Lawn Fawn mermaid and peacock inks. I used liquid glue to adhere the layers together along with my palm tree. Then I used foam squares to add the girl and her ice tea on top of that.

For my background panel, I used Lawn Fawn bubblegum and sunflower inks with the Trinity Stamps Waving Hello stencil. Then I trimmed it down to 4×5.25 inches and went around the edge with the sunflower ink that was left on my blending brush.

I assembled all the layers with foam tape and went digging for that perfect sentiment. When I saw the one in the Clearly Besotted Spilling Tea set I knew I had to use it. I stamped and heat embossed it on black cardstock and adhered it with a combo of foam strip and liquid glue.

For finishing touches, I added some glossy accents to the girl’s sunglasses and iced tea cup. Then I glued down a scattering of boiled sugar jelly drop hearts across the design.

Products used on today’s card:
PPP Summer Friends stamps and dies
PPP Tropical Birds stamps and dies
PPP Scallop Diamond Tag dies
Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Border dies
Lawn Fawn Sandy Beach Accents dies
Lawn Fawn dye inks
Trinity Stamps blending buddy brushes
Trinity Stamps Waving Hello stencil
Trinity Stamps Boiled Sugar Jelly Drop Heart embellishments
Clearly Besotted Spilling Tea stamps
Glossy Accents
