Hey friends! Newton’s Nook isn’t having a new release this month but they are having an awesome Sweethearts sale and lots of new inspiration from the design team this week. I had some die cutting fun and wanted to share it with you today.

I started by die cutting the heart shapes with the coordinating dies to the Candy Hearts stamp set. I love that this die set works with the heart stamp or without. I chose copic markers a smidge darker than my cardstock and colored the edge of the back layer so there was dimension. I glued the two layers together with liquid glue and stamped the candy heart sayings on each one.

Next I die cut XOXO three times each from white cardstock using the Essential Alphabet dies and glued them to a black banner from the Banner Trio die set. I folded the edges of the banner and used liquid glue and reverse tweezers to hold it while it dried.

Next I cut a teal panel with the largest Framework die and inked the center using the Petit Hearts stencil with darker teal ink. I popped the panel up with foam tape on a white card base and then did the same with the hearts and sentiment banner too.
A question that goes along with that of Peeps and candy corn, do you like conversation hearts at Valentine’s time? I definitely do! But I’m also a sucker for Peeps all year long now that they’ve expanded and candy corn for Halloween is a must. Lol.
