Miss Ink Stamps – Love Your Mug

Happy Thursday everyone! I’m popping in again today with some Miss Ink Stamps inspiration featuring a fun stencil set that is great for all the time and our beloved PSL time of year that’s right around the corner!

I started by inking the cup layer of the stencils with light gray since I chose white cardstock for my background. Next, I lined up the layer with the lids and sleeves. I inked the lids black using a post-it note to mask the sleeves. Then I blended my cool tone ombre using Lawn Fawn inks – peacock, forget me not, juice box and ballet slippers.

The fun part of this stencil set is the detail layer for the mug sleeves – you can choose this one with beans and hearts or an alternate with hearts and pumpkins for fall time! Today I spread texture paste through it for some dimension and let the panel dry. Next I splattered the panel with silver watercolor.

Once that was dry, I tore along one edge and added foam tape to the back. I die cut the smallest tag and heat embossed my sentiment from Big Mugs, then cut a second tag for some color interest. After gluing them together, I threaded them on ribbon and tied it on the left edge.

I added a little washi tape to the edge of my card base and popped the panel in place. For finishing touches I just added a pink clay heart to the sentiment tag, which I specifically left room for.
