Spellbinders – North Pole Friends

Hi everyone! I’m back today with some more Christmas in July from Spellbinders. This card features one of the adorable die sets from the Simon Hurley North Pole Friends collection that came out this month. These elves are adorable and so fun to build!

I started by playing around with all the parts of the elves, creating red and green versions plus all the extras that they could hold on to. I used liquid glue, reverse tweezers and a pick up tool to make life easier when assembling these cuties!

Next, I used the Sparkling Snow 3D embossing folder from last year on a piece of light blue cardstock. Then I went over the snowflakes with a blending brush and white pigment ink to help them stand out a bit. Then I die cut my sentiment banner from the Handmade Sentiments die set, also from last year. It’s definitely a go-to!

I glued the embossed panel to a white card base and then added my sentiment banner and elves to the front with foam strips and squares. I worked my way from the banner up so I could control my spacing top and bottom. I knew I had wiggle room by overlapping elf hands and feet if necessary.

Be sure to pop over to Spellbinders and check out this whole collection. Simon really outdid himself this time. The sets are adorable on their own but are also going to be really fun to interact with each other too! I have two more currently on their way to me because I just couldn’t resist!
