This month is packed full of fall wonder and I’m smitten with it all! I have two cards to share today with a fall spin versus the Halloween card I shared a few days ago.
First up, a gorgeous and simple card featuring the Stencil of the Month. I loved building this background one layer at a time! Once it was completed I went around the edges of my panel with my brown blending brush and toned down the stark white. Then I splattered it with gold watercolor and set it aside to dry.
While that was drying I used the Better Press Autumn Sentiments on porcelain Better Press paper using black ink. These press plates come with a coordinating die so I immediately had three sentiments with one pass. It’s genius!
Next I took some time to play with the Small Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month. Both are amazing and I’m in love! This embossing folder is going to be a fall staple in my routine for sure. I cut a Mirrored Arch Label from kraft cardstock and embossed it, then went over it with a blending brush and brown ink to help it pop more.
Next I cut some florals from the Small Die of the Month and rounded them into a wreath, adhering with liquid glue as I went along. Once it was how I liked, I glued it to the embossed panel and popped that sweet kitty up with foam squares. It was too perfect not to add another of the Better Press sentiments from my previous card, and now I still have a bonus ready to go!
I popped the Mirrored Arch panel up on a white card base with foam tape and almost immediately had a hard time with the bright white. So I pivoted and used my teal blending brush (without adding ink) and lightly went around all of the edges. I really like how that turned out!
