Newton’s Nook – Feature Week Day 2

Welcome back everyone! It’s day 2 of release features and today we have two new die sets that coordinate but can be used alone too!

Card Layout 6 die and Corner Flip dies

If you saw my card on Friday for the Instagram Hop, you saw one way to use the new Card Layout 6 die. Today I created a shaker card using it. Be sure to come back Thursday to check out a way to use the Corner Flip dies on their own!

To create the shaker, I cut the frame from white cardstock and trimmed a piece of acetate to fit the whole panel. These are adhered with double-side tape. Then I lined the back with foam strips, they fit perfectly! I filled each well with some shaker bits from my stash and sealed the whole thing up with a piece of patterned paper from the Happy Easter paper pad!

Next, I took the center diamond that cuts out from the Card Layout 6 die and inked it lightly with pink before stamping my sentiment and adding a couple Easter eggs from the Springtime Bunnies stamp set. I glued that in place with double-sided tape because it was on the acetate panel.

I wanted to tie the pink in more so I drug my pink ink pad directly to my card front before adhering the shaker panel. Then finished things off with glossy accents on the Easter eggs.

Products used:
