Newton’s Nook – Feature Week Day 3

The week is chugging along! Today we have some more fun dies to share with you that are going to be a fast favorite, I’m sure!

Easter Egg Builder dies

These eggs are so fun to cut from a billion colors and just play with, mixing and matching different colors. Ink blending or coloring the details. Even cut them from patterned paper for more options that are quick and easy!

Today I created a little outdoor scene for the kiddie Easter egg hunt in all of us! I cut lots of bits from all the different styles of eggs and used liquid glue to adhere them together. Then I cut some layers of grass, adding a little ink blending to the tips for depth and glued the layers together, nestling the eggs in between.

Next, I took a light blue panel and spread texture paste through the Petite Clouds stencil haphazardly so it’s not perfect and set the panel aside to dry. While I was waiting I cut the Happy Easter sentiment and shadow, using liquid glue to adhere the layers together.

When the clouds were dry, I ink blended the edges of the panel a little for some depth there too. Then I adhered the grass and eggs along with the sentiment to the sky. Then I glued the whole thing to a card base.
