Newton’s Nook – Retro Party Release Week Day 4

Now that we’ve shared some fun inspiration with Newton and Puppy, it’s time to highlight this great add on to the release – Party On! which is a great sentiment stamp set to have in your stash for lots of occasions!

Party On! stamps

Today I have a trio of cards I created with the new Card Layout 7 die and the New Retro paper pad. This is a fabulous way to bust out a bunch of cards to have on hand in your stash or if you have an occasion where you need multiple of the same theme of card.

I also want to point out that I assembled these three cards just a little differently to show ways you can change the look. With the background – one has just the frame popped up, another has just the inserts popped up and the other has the frame and inserts glued to the card front.

Here’s the look with the frame popped up and the sentiment banners popped up on the same level as the frame. Also, I added color to the card bases of these cards by taking my felt ink pad direct-to-paper which essentially means I drug it across the surface for a quick, easy, textured look.

This card has the frame glued down and the inserts all popped up with foam tape and then the banners popped up with foam tape on top of that. Lots of dimension and lots of interest. It’s also fun to mix and match ink/embossing powder colors for different looks.

This final card has the frame and inserts all glued directly to the card base and the sentiment banner is popped up with foam tape. I also mixed stamping and heat embossing sentiments on the same banner here for a bit of extra interest.
