This week Newton’s Nook Designs and Therm O Web are partnering for a fabulous inspiration week! All week long both design teams will be sharing ways to add use Therm O Web products with Newton’s Nook Designs stamps! There are prizes too! Read all the way to the end of this post to find out how you can win!

Products used on today’s project:
Newton’s Nook Purr-Maid stamps and dies
Newton’s Nook Scuba Newton stamps and dies
Newton’s Nook Seashells stencil
Newton’s Nook Waves stencil
Newton’s Nook Frames Squared dies
Thermoweb Transfer Gel Blanco
Thermoweb Glitz Gel – turquoise sea
Thermoweb Deco Foil Flock – white latte
Thermoweb foam tape
Thermoweb foam squares
iCraft Ultra Bond liquid adhesive
Glossy Accents
Stickles – unicorn
Distress Oxide Inks – blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon, abandoned coral, festive berries

For today’s project, I started with the messy stuff first so it had time to dry while I was stamping and coloring. I applied Thermoweb Transfer Gel Blanco over a piece of melon cardstock and the Newton’s Nook seashells stencil. Then I set it aside to dry and cleaned off my tools. Next, I die cut the scalloped square from Frames Squared out of a light blue cardstock. I inked up the edges with peacock feathers and blueprint sketch distress oxide inks. Then I splatter the panel with watered down blueprint sketch. I hit this with my heat gun for just a second to dry the ink. Then I adhered the Newton’s Nook waves stencil and applied a layer of Glitz Gel in turquoise sea. I removed the stencil, set the panel aside to dry and cleaned my tools and work surface one more time.

Before moving on too far, I turned my laminator on to heat up nice and hot while I was waiting for things to dry. Then, I stamped images from Scuba Newton and Purr-maids stamp sets and colored them all with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. Then I die cut the label shape from Frames Squared and heat embossed a sentiment from Scuba Newton in black.

Finally, my panels were dry so I ran the seashells through the laminator with Deco Foil Flock in white latte. I love all the glitter and shiny things but this flock really gets me every time! I love using it and the feel of it when you have your final product. But, I digress. I took the seashell panel and went around the edges with abandoned coral distress oxide ink, then flicked watered down festive berries all over for extra texture. I also love that this ink doesn’t take away the fun fuzzy feeling of the flock at all! It just gives extra visual texture to your panel.

Now moving on to assembly. I adhered the seashell panel to a white card base with the iCraft Ultra Bond liquid adhesive. I added foam tape to the back of the square glitz gel panel and adhered the sentiment label to the bottom, then popped it in place on my card. I added some of the images with liquid glue and placed acrylic blocks on top to help them dry on the glitz gel. While that was sitting, I added foam squares to the back of the other images. I removed the blocks, popped the final images in place and switched gears to finishing touches.

I started with glossy accents on different parts of each fish and the seahorse, as well as the kitty noses. Then I came back through with unicorn Stickles on the purr-maid tails, seashell bra and the coral at the bottom of the scene.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. There are more amazing projects today over on the Therm O Web blog so pop over there for more inspiration!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Unbirthday Tea

Hi there! It’s time for another Tuesday Tea over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today. I’ve pulled out some of my favorite Miss Ink Stamps goodies to play with for today’s pair of cards too!

Do you ever create an awesome background, only to cover most of it up with elements and feel like you’re wasting it? That’s what was going to happen with the design in my head today so I turned one card into two by cutting my inked background in half!

I inked up the Enchanted stencil with spun sugar, cracked pistachio and wilted violet distress inks, then to soften the white lines from the stencil, I went over everything a second time very lightly. It gives a hazy look which I thought was really cool. Then I splattered it with pearl watercolor and left it to dry.

I pulled out the Unbirthday sentiment set and stamped and heat embossed each one in silver on white cardstock panels. Then I came back with the Trinity Stamps scenic border cloud die and cut off the bottom. I added foam tape to the back of these panels and set them aside too. Next, I stamped images from Tea Party and colored them with my copics. Then I used the scan-n-cut to cut them out and started assembling my cards.

I cut the stenciled panel in half and used liquid glue to adhere each half to card bases. Then I popped the sentiment panels on with their foam tape and added foam squares to the back of my images. After popping those in place, I moved on to finishing touches for each card.

I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in simply white and morning dew across both card designs. Then I added glossy accents to different parts of the images on both cards as well.

These cards are just so fun and between the two different sentiments, you have birthday and just because cards at the same time! How great is that!?!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

MFT Stamps – Super in Superhero

Hello everyone! I have a REALLY fun box card to share with you today featuring some fun, new goodies I got from Scrapbookpal.com recently.

Products used on today’s project, using affiliate links to help fund this page at no cost to you:
Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink
Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card dies
MFT Stamps Super Friend stamps and dies
Hero Arts Leaves and Vines background die
Distress Ink colors – Tea Dye, Mowed Lawn and Black Soot
Tombow Mono Liquid Adhesive
Scrappy Tape 1/4 inch
Copic markers – R00, R24, R27, R29, YR21, YR24, YR27, Y11, Y13, Y26, Y28, YG11, YG13, YG93, YG95, G12, G14, G16, G24, G28, B0000, B32, B34, W1, W3, W5, W7, E41, E42, E43, E44

To create my card, I started by die cutting all the elements from the Lawn Fawn scalloped box card. The outside of the box is cut from kraft cardstock and the edges are inked with tea dye distress ink. The decorative panels are cut from white cardstock and inked with tea dye and mowed lawn distress inks. Then they are splattered with watered down ink from those two colors plus a little black soot for extra texture.

An extra white panel was inked up with the same colors that I die cut the Hero Arts leaves and vines die from. Then that panel was cut down to 3×3.25 inches to fit the back panel of the box card. This gave me a large piece left over to use on another project too! Next, I used 1/4 inch scrappy tape to adhere the box card together, including the inner supports that I will attach my images to later on.

I stamped images from MFT Stamps Super Friend and colored them with my copic markers. I made sure to stamp lots of extra leaves so that I could fill the scene really well. I attached the koala character to a strip of acetate and added him to the back support in the card. Working my way forward, I added the other two characters and leaves in between.

For my sentiment, I chose to stack one of the longer ones from the Super Friends set by masking it off and stamping it in two sections on one of the inked decorative panels. Last, I added those to the flaps of the card and also glued the leaves and vines background to the back panel of the box card.

This card was so much fun to create! I love making interactive cards. They are so fun to make but more fun to give to people! Seeing their face when it moves or pops open is so cool!

I hope you found some inspiration to create something wonderful. I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Miss Ink Stamps – Release Day

Yippee!!! It’s release day for Miss Ink Stamps and we’ve got so much fun to share with you! Today I have an adorable card featuring the new Rub-a-Dub Doggies stamps! I love these cuties so much!

I stamped those cute pups and colored them with my copics. Then I used the scan-n-cut to cut them all out. I inked up a panel with twisted citron and lucky clover distress oxide inks. Then I spritzed it with water and flicked watered down lucky clover on the panel. Once it was dry, I trimmed it down to 3.25×8.25 inches and added foam tape to the back, adhering it to a white card base measuring 3.5×8.5 inches.

Then I die cut a panel from the Newton’s Nook Slimline Frames & Portholes set and added foam tape to the back of that too. I put it in place on my card and added the pups and their accessories one at a time to each window with a combination of foam squares and liquid glue.

Then I went through and added glossy accents to the noses, shampoo bottle, rubber ducky and purple on the middle washtub. Finally, black glaze pen to the one set of eyes that are open and some and some unicorn Stickles on the bubbles.

I hadn’t specifically planned a sentiment, it was hard to choose. So last, I stamped one and trimmed it into a strip. Then I used my scissors to create banner ends, added a foam strip and added it to my card.

Isn’t this just too adorable! I love all the different types of dogs in this set. They’re really awesome!

Don’t forget to head over to Instagram and YouTube to comment for chances to win new products from the release!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Pig Time Card Set

Hi again! It’s my turn over on the Pink & Main blog today and I’ve got a super fun set of 4 cards to share with you. I wanted to use the adorable Pig Time set that just released and couldn’t choose one so I used them all! This also gave me a chance to play with four different stencils and the new Garden paper pad and matching enamel dots!

The design for all of these cards is the same which made creating them a breeze. I stamped and colored all of the images from Pig Time first, then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next, I used my ergonomic blending brush to ink up a stencil in the upper center of a white panel that measures 4×5.25 inches. I paired a piggie with each stenciled panel and then chose a patterned paper from the stack to go with each one. I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiments, added foam tape to the back of the stenciled panels and started assembling.

I used the EZ Squeeze glue to adhere the patterned paper to white card bases, then popped the stenciled panels in place and used foam squares to add my images. Last, I finished things off with glossy accents, star dust Stickles and coordinating Garden enamel dots.

Let’s check them all out! For this one, which seriously CRACKS ME UP, I used the stained glass stencil and a gingham paper from the pad. I finished this cutie up with stickles on his cheek.

Oh my goodness, this is so cute with his little belly button! The stencil for this card is called bursting and I couldn’t resist the plaid patterned paper. I finished it up with glossy accents on the balloon and Stickles on his cheeks.

Aren’t these two hugging just the sweetest ever?!? I love it! The stencil on here was also just released and is called Flora. I chose another plaid patterned paper for this because, again, I couldn’t resist! Then I finished things up with Stickles on their cheeks and glossy accents on the flower in her ear and the heart above them.

Last, but certainly not least, is this cutie holding his heart…I suppose it could be a mini balloon or heart shaped flower. Either way, I love this image! That’s the deco stencil in the background and an awesome cross hatch patterned paper for the base. I finished things up with Stickles on his cheeks and glossy accents on the heart.

I was able to create these cards in an evening and had a blast doing it! It was such a fun way to play with so many different products and I have cards for totally different occasions ready to go!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Miss Ink Stamps – Release Sneak Peek

Happy Friday everyone!!! I’m super excited to share an awesome sneak peek with you today of the upcoming Miss Ink Stamps release that will go live tomorrow!

I started my card by stamping images from the new It’s All Relative stamp set and colored them with my copics. Then I cut them out with the scan-n-cut and switched to my background.

That’s another awesome sneak peek…new masking stencils! I inked up the frame in a green close to my chalk board and then the center with brown ink. I put the Art Deco stencil over the masking stencil and added another layer of the same brown ink. I removed the stencils, trimmed the panel to 4×5.25 and added foam tape to the back.

I found a green cardstock close to the ink, trimmed it to A2 and added it to a white card base with liquid glue. Then I popped my stenciled panel in place. Next, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment in white along with another smaller atom image and glue the chalk board eraser in place. I added foam squares to the back of the chalkboard and Einstein, removed the release paper and popped them in place.

I can’t wait for you all to see this whole set and all the other fun that’s coming too! For other sneak peeks and chances to win, head over to the Miss Ink Stamps Instagram page and YouTube channel and comment on the specified posts. You have chances to win stamps on Instagram and stencil sets on YouTube!

Newton’s Nook – April Release Day 4

Oh my goodness, we’re on the final day of reveals! I hope you have loved everything so far and are just as excited for today! This time we have new stamps to go with the heart frames collection and a new sentiment set too!

Heartfelt Butterflies

Heartfelt Blossoms

Mom and Dad

I absolutely love how wonderfully everything works together! The sentiments from all of today’s sets fit perfect within any of the Banner Trio dies and the hearts all work with the Heart Frames dies. They’re great staples to have in your craft stash for sure! I have 2 cards to share with you today using all of these goodies! So let’s not waste any more time!

For my first card, I stamped the Heartfelt Blooms twice and colored them with my copic markers. Then I die cut them with the Heart Frames set. I inked up a slimline panel measuring 3.5×8.5 inches with speckled egg, crackling campfire and cracked sapphire distress oxide inks. I spritzed the panel with a distress sprayer and blotted it dry. Then, I used liquid glue to adhere it to a card base and popped my hearts up on it with foam tape. I trimmed the excess off the edge with my scissors and moved on to sentiments.

Because the banner trio dies are solid, I die cut 2 banners from dark blue cardstock and then stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Heartfelt Blooms and Mom and Dad on each one. I added foam squares to the back and popped them in place.

For my Heartfelt Butterflies card, I stamped and heat embossed the image in silver on watercolor paper. Then I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolor them all. This was super relaxing and fun to do! Next, I inked up an A2 size panel with spun sugar and picked raspberry distress oxide inks. I spritzed it with water and flicked some watered down ink on the panel. Then I went back and flicked pearl watercolor over the whole thing too. I thought this played really well with the silver heat embossing on the butteflies.

Foy my sentiment, I die cut 2 banners from Banner Trio and one from Frames and Flags from yellow, purple and blue cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on the yellow one and colored the inside of the open letters with a yellow marker to help them pop. I arranged them how I wanted and glued them to the back of the heart. Then I added foam squares to the back of the heart and flags and placed them on the inked panel. Finally, I used liquid glue to adhere the whole panel to a white card base.

Trinity Stamps – Hopping By…

Hey friends! I have a really fun Trinity Stamps interactive card to share with you today! Sometimes it’s just so fun to dig in your stash and play with whatever suits your fancy…and that’s exactly what I did for this card!

I started by stamping and coloring the images from Puddle Jumpers with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Then I took a 3.5×8.5 inch panel and inked it up with a couple of blue inks and my blending brushes. I also inked up a shorter panel with brown inks. Then I started die cutting my pieces. I cut the top of the brown panel with the great outdoors hill die and a white panel with the slimline scenic borders cloud border. I glued these to the inked up blue panel and then ran die cut the whole panel with the slimline surprises die.

I adhered the frogs to strips of acetate and adhered them to the back of the puddle jumper image. Then I used liquid glue to adhere it to the slider panel, being careful not the glue the top portion down so it still slides up. I also stamped the happy birthday sentiment from one of the blue inks I used on the panel and cut it out with the coordinating die, gluing it down with liquid glue.

Next, I took a slimline card base and used my panel as a guide to stamp a surprise when you slide the mechanism up. Then I die cut the pull tab card that makes the mechanism move and stamped images on the top of it that will show when you pull the tab up. I tied some fun ribbon through the hole to add to the whole overall look. I love this touch!

To assemble my whole card, I added 1/4 inch scrappy tape to the bottom of the folding mechanism and adhered the pull tab tag to it. Then I added 1/8 inch scrappy to the sides, 1/4 inch to the bottom of the panel and added it to the card front. I pulled it up and down a few times and it works perfectly! Time to move on to finishing touches.

I added unicorn Stickles to the raindrops and parts of the water puddle. Then I added glossy accents to the frog’s eyes, including the froggy hood too! I also added them to the rain boots and finished things off with black glaze pen to the kiddo’s eyes.

Isn’t this card just sooo cute?!? I love it!!!

I’m trying something new today and am going to list all the products used on this card below with links so you can find them easily. I’m also using affiliate links now that help fund this blog at no additional cost to you.

Newton’s Nook – April Release Day 3

I’m super excited we’re already to day 3 of the Newton’s Nook release reveals! Yesterday we hit all you kitten lovers and today we round things off with puppies!!! Let’s jump in!

Puppy Friends

These guys are just too cute! So cute, that I had to make a slimline card and fit multiple of them on it! And I love all those fabulous sentiments too! They’re punny and perfect!

This time I started my card with a layout in mind so I did the messy stuff that requires drying time first. I took the Slimline Masking Squares stencil and inked it up with cracked pistachio distress oxide ink. I splattered it with water, then I lined up the frame die from Slimline Frames and Windows and cut it out. I saved the frame from another card and took the squares from the windows. I taped the squares to the back of the new Petite Clouds stencil and spread Thermoweb Transfer Gel Blanco on them all. I removed the stencil and set them aside to dry.

I stamped and colored the sweet puppies from Puppy Friends with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I knew I wanted to pop them up so I also added foam squares and then set them aside. Next, I die cut the scalloped panel from Slimline Frames and Portholes and inked it up with abandoned coral distress oxide and splattered it with water and flicked it with watered down ink too. This gives great texture!

Now that the transfer gel was dry, I ran the squares through my laminator with Thermoweb iridescent decofoil. Aren’t those clouds soooo super awesome?!? I am in love with them! I glued them down on the scalloped panel with liquid glue and popped my puppies in place. For the sentiment, I die cut the smallest shape from the Framework die set and heat embossed a sentiment on it. It ls popped up with foam squares just like the puppies.

Last, I popped the scalloped panel up on a white card base with foam tape and moved on to simple finishing touches. I added glossy accents to puppy noses and eyes, dots on the bandana, tag on the collar and a little something on all their critters too!

Would you like to win the “Puppy Friends” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!
