Waffle Flower – Sneak Peek Kit #09

Hey friends! I am super excited to be sharing with you a look at the Waffle Flower Sneak Peek Kit #09! These kits give subscribers a peek at the next upcoming release before it’s available for purchase! They have all been amazing so far and this one is no different!

I couldn’t help myself and created three cards straight away, in one crafting session. It was so fun, I just couldn’t stop!

For my first card, I had to try inking on kraft cardstock. Nothing says fall to me more than those muted natural colors and I was excited to play. So I cut the panel from kraft using the die from the kit and lined up my stencil to ink blend. The kit also comes with one of the detail blender brushes which is so cool!

The sentiment die used on all my cards is also part of the kit. For this card I cut the shadow from vellum and the words from the same dark brown as my card front. I used liquid glue and adhered everything together.

Sticking with the same colors but a brighter background, I mimicked the same idea on a white panel to see the difference it would give. Oh my wow is it huge!

This time I cut the sentiment from gold foil cardstock, also lined my card front with is so that’s what shows through the lifted leaves. The sentiment shadow is cut from black cardstock this time for a bold statement on this card.

Next, I just had to try making a shaker window from the shadow die in the sentiment. I don’t think to create shakers all that often but this one was a must do for me.

This is also a great was to show that you don’t have to use the cover plate die with the stencil. This is a pretty stencil on it’s own as well.

I took some of the shaker bits and glued them across the design to give it a little extra without the die cut details. I also had fun trying non-traditional colors on this card too.

Doodlebugs – Thank You Box Card

Hey friends! Mix it up Monday brings us thinking outside the box a bit…a box card that is. I love making box cards and don’t do them near often enough. I recently picked up the Pretty Pink Posh Box Card die set and it’s total perfection. Probably the easiest and most complete I’ve used yet. No need for extra “insert” dies and I love the scallop pieces to decorate every part of your box card.

I started by choosing a few of the adorable Mama Elephant Little Agenda Hamsters to stamp out. I colored them with copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Sticking with my love of teal, I found some cardstock in my stash and started die cutting the pieces to my box card next. I chose white for all the decorative pieces so I could ink blend on them. Today I chose peacock feathers and cracked pistachio distress oxide ink for those.

For my sentiment I stamped the large sentiment from Mama Elephant Thank You (Love You) in Lawn Fawn dye inks – rainforest, peacock and mermaid for the ombre effect and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I also stamped a small sub-sentiment from the same set and used a Pretty Pink Posh Sentiment Strip to cut it out.

I used liquid glue and reverse tweezers to assemble my box card and then tear tape to add my images to the different levels of the card. I also cut a second large scalloped piece from white cardstock to glue on the back so I had a big clean area to write my message on.

Pixi Dust Designs – What’s This? Jack Mug Card

Welcome everyone! I’m sharing a card featuring the new Jack Mug dies from Pixi Dust Designs. I am absolutely loving this new die set! Jack is one of my very favorite characters and this die set is just perfect! If you’ve seen the movie you’ll know that I had to use this sentiment too.

I cut all of my elements and used liquid glue to adhere them. Then I used a blank card base to figure out placement of my spoon and mug together and glued them in place as well. I added foam tape to the back and set it aside to work on my ink blending.

I blended distress oxide inks in seedless preserves and pumice stone at and angle from one corner to the other. Then I splattered the panel with water and black metallic watercolor. Next, I trimmed 1/4″ off the right side of the panel and added foam tape to the back.

I added a strip of bat washi tape to the side of my card base and adhered the inked panel over that. Then I cut the letters for my sentiment from black cardstock and arranged them on my glass mat. I used pixie tape to keep them lined up, added glue to the back and adhered them to the inked panel. After those were in place I popped my mug and spoon below them and my card is finished.

Is the song playing in your head yet? It’s definitely in mine.

Miss Ink Stamps – Alice Revisited Sneak Peek of Upcoming Release

We’ve got a new release coming from Miss Ink Stamps and I’m super excited about it! It’s an add on to the original Alice collection and it’s amazing!!! Today I’m sneaking a peek at an upcoming Tea Cups stamp set and a new die set that’s coming soon too.

This card actually makes me giggle because I can’t image under any circumstances the White Rabbit giving the Red Queen a heart or saying anything encouraging to her. But all the same, I am having so much fun coloring and creating with these new stamps. If you’re an Alice fan in the least, you’re going to love it all!

For my background on this card, I stamped the Queen’s Castle image on white cardstock and did ink smooshing with Tombow Brush Markers and a spray bottle. I chose a couple of reds and then threw in a brown at the end to tame it all down. Do you spy that new cool woodgrain frame too? That’s coming soon to the Miss Ink Stamps shop as well with more goodies to go with it.

The sentiment I chose was from Wonderland Wisdom which is a fun sentiment set full of quotes and sentiments in the Alice theme with a few small sub-images you can use in different ways too. This is definitely a must in the Alice Collection.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks from the design team, especially the end of next week when everyone is flooding your feed with all this goodness!

Trinity Stamps | Simon Says Stamp – Stamptember Release

Hey friends! Popping in late to let you know the collab between Trinity Stamps and Simon Says Stamp for Stamptember is cuter than cute and it’s available for purchase while supplies last!

Trinity Stamps was the trailblazer for all things slimline so I couldn’t resist myself in creating a fun slimline card with this adorable stamp set. The images are sweeter than sweet with lots of sentiment options to choose from too.

I stamped and colored my images with copic markers, lots of extra trees to fill my hilly scene. Then I used my scan-n-cut to cut them all out. Next, I cut a Striped Frame Slimline panel from white cardstock. I taped off the edges and inked light teal some hills going down the panel.

I glued the trees to the panel with liquid glue and popped my images up with foam squares. Then I stamped and die cut a sentiment using one of the banners in the Scalloped Card Panels and Banners die set. I inked it up with the same color I stamped my sentiment to help it pop and attached it with foam strips.

Last, I took a slimline card base and inked the edges like my banner and then added my panel to the front with liquid glue. For finishing touches I glued a scattering of Silver Sparkle Rhinestones throughout the design. Then I added glossy accents to my reindeer’s nose and bells, and stardust Stickles to the poms on the gnomes hats.

Remember these sets are limited quantities and this is the first time Trinity Stamps has gotten to participate so don’t wait to snag yours. It’ll be gone and you’ll be sad.

Pink & Main – Sneak Peek Week: Holiday Fun with Stencils, Dies and Stamps

Welcome everyone! Thank you for stopping by. Today is my turn for sneak peek week with the Pink & Main September release! As always, it’s fun, adorable and super versatile! I pulled out a few new products to play with for today’s card.

I went with a non-traditional color palette for a holiday card and had so much fun with it! The new candy cane stencil is a two-part stencil so I inked the first with pink and spread glossy gel through the second. After removing the second stencil layer I sprinkled the panel with super fine glitter so I had sparkly candy canes in the background.

While that was drying, I die cut my sentiment from the new holiday sentiments die set and inked up my card front too. I wanted to add a little something below my sentiment though so I went back to the new release and snagged the sweet image from Joy to the World to stamp and color.

Once the glitter background panel was dry, I die cut it with a Concave Stitched rectangle and assembled everything with foam tape. For finishing touches I added Touch of Gloss to the bells and stardust Stickles to the holly berries so they matched the candy canes.

I hope you’re excited for Friday! There is so much amazing coming your way!

Pretty Pink Posh – September Release Instagram Hop

Hey friends! Just popping in today to let you know that I’m participating in the Pretty Pink Posh Instagram Hop today! I have this gorgeous stenciled card to share and you have chances to win one of three $30 gift cards to the PPP shop if you head over, comment and hop along too!

This was a simple card to create but I’m still in awe of how pretty it turned out and how easy the new Layered Woodland stencils are to use! I used all Lawn Fawn dye inks with blending brushes, then die cut my panel with the largest Stitched Torn Rectangle die.

I cut the new Thankful Script word from white cardstock 4 times and glued them together, then cut the shadow once from white cardstock but I inked it with chipped sapphire distress oxide ink before adhering the word to it. I also inked my card base with the same to tie them in together.

I popped the stenciled panel up with foam tape on my card base and use liquid glue to adhere my sentiment. Then I pulled some images from the new Fall Jar stamp set to color and add to the design.

For finishing touches I added black glaze pen to the mouse’s nose, then Touch of Gloss to the center of the bow and parts of the moth (or butterfly, whichever you prefer).

I had so much fun pulling this card together, especially adding that mouse to the top of my sentiment. Just makes me smile every time I look at him.

Newton’s Nook – Made for Each Other with Hot Foiling

Welcome everyone! I’m happy you’re here because I’m really excited to share today’s card that is featured on the Newton’s Nook blog today. I’m using new and previously released Halloween goodies in a really fun and different way.

We all know that I love spooky season and extending it in any way is just a bonus for me. And that’s kind of what I feel like I did with my card today.

While creating for the September release I figured out that the new Spiderweb hot foil plates fit perfectly in the corner of the Heart Frames dies…so fun is that! So I foiled one in pink and did some ink blending over the top to add color. This time I used distress oxide ink in worn lipstick and spun sugar. Then I splattered black soot over the panel and let it dry.

While it was drying I went digging in my stash…I had a couple of ideas in mind but the moment I saw Franken-Newton I knew I had to put these two cuties together with my spooky heart. So I stamped, colored and die cut my heart out. Next, I chose a sentiment that I just love from that set and stamped it in the open spot away from the foiling.

The background panel is inked with twisted citron distress oxide ink and splattered with green watercolor from LH Colors. I added everything to my panel with foam tape and squares and added that to a white card base with liquid glue.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the kitties and tied a bow around the top for a splash of dark dramatic to go with all these neons. Then I came in with stardust Stickles on the girl kitty’s hair.

I hope you love this card half as much as I do! I know spooky isn’t for everyone but my heart was so happy creating it!

Pretty Pink Posh – Acorns and Cozy Fall Critters

Welcome everyone. I’m excited to be on the Pretty Pink Posh blog sharing a card I created using the new Acorn Shaker dies and those adorable Cozy Fall Critters. Today’s card is a 5×7 card so that I could fit all three acorns on it without cutting too much off the edge. If you don’t like making large cards, you could reflect the design with only two acorns on a standard A2 card and it would be cute as can be!

I started with the acorns first. I inked up a couple white panels with the new Deco Leaves stencil, then traced the acorn shaker die and cut them out. Then I cut the pieces for my acorns with kraft and brown cardstock. Next, I stamped and colored critters from Cozy Fall Critters, then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I used liquid glue to assemble the layers together and then trimmed off any excess from the stenciled panels and my critters.

I created a white 5×7 inch card base and also trimmed a piece of teal cardstock to 4.75×6.75 inches. I inked the edges with peacock feathers and gathered twigs distress oxide inks and splattered the panel with water. After blotting it dry, I added foam tape to the back and adhered it to my card base.

Next, I positioned my acorns on the card front and used liquid glue to adhere them to each other. After letting it dry for a minute, I flipped them over and added foam tape to the back of them. I tied some jute twine around the left side of my card and then placed my acorns on the front.

Last, I stamped a sentiment from Autumn Pumpkins and die cut it using the coordinating die. Then I added a scattering of espresso confetti bits around the design. A few other finishing touches were adding black glaze pen to the critter’s eyes and glossy accents their noses.

Pawsome Stamps – Hauntingly Sweet Halloween

Hi there everyone! My blog is packed full for the next little bit because I’ve been creating a bunch of extra projects and want to share things with you in time to make holiday related creations yourself! So I’m back today with a card featuring a couple of stamp sets from Pawsome Stamps. I love her art and have quite a few of her sets but rarely carve out time to create with them. Shame on me!

My card today combines a new set and a set released last year combined together. Aren’t these images so spooky fun!?! I love them! The pumpkins are new from Costume Pumpkins and the candy corn cuties are from last year called Hauntingly Sweet.

After coloring and die cutting the images, I pulled out a piece of white cardstock for my background. I trimmed that down to 4×5.25 inches before inking it up with distress oxide inks. I wanted spooky feeling colors but still color, not black, so I chose twisted citron, mowed lawn, dusty concord. Once that was blended, I lightly went over the edges with the ink that was left on my black soot distress oxide foam pad. I didn’t add anything to it so it stayed light but just gave some depth. Then I splattered the panel with water, blotted that dry and flicked black paint on it.

When the paint was dry, I popped it up on a white card base with foam tape and added my images and sentiment with foam squares and strips.

For finishing touches I added bits of Touch of Gloss to most of the images and stardust Stickles to the stars. I could have gone HAM with the glossy and sparkly but I held back so there are just bits here and there. You choose…measure that stuff with your heart! If you love it, keep going, if you’re more reserved, so be it!

Products used:
Hauntingly Sweet stamps and dies
Costume Pumpkins stamps and dies
Distress Oxide Ink – twisted citron, mowed lawn, dusty concord, black soot
