Hey friends! There is a super awesome collaboration hop happening over on Instagram today! The Newton’s Nook and Crafty Meraki design teams have collided and created so many fun projects to share! If you hop along and comment you’ll have a chance at gift cards for both companies!

Here’s a looksy at my fun project for today.

I started my card by stamping images from Cosmic Newton and colored them with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out and set them aside. Next, I die cut the Crafty Meraki Bubble Mania die from gray cardstock. I also die cut “celebrate” from the Celebrate Tag die set from white cardstock 3 times and brushed silver once. I used liquid glue to adhere the letters and moved on to get inky with my background!

For that I inked up a panel with distress oxides – peacock feathers in the center, then blueprint sketch over the whole panel and then the edges with chipped sapphire to darken it a little. I spritzed it with water and blotted it dry.

Next, I used white pigment ink with a blending brush over the Newton’s Nook Cascading Stars stencil. I did the top portion, then flipped the stencil around and did the bottom portion so they fade out toward the middle. Now it’s time for assembling all of our layers!

I used liquid glue to adhere the inked panel to a white card base, then also to adhere the bubble mania background. I also used liquid glue to adhere the stacked celebrate sentiment and then switched gears to foam squares for all of my images.

For finishing touches, I added glossy accents to the helmet and window of the spaceship, also to the flames and emblem on the space suit. Then I came back with star dust Stickles on the stars and planets.
