Welcome everyone! Thanks for stopping by. Today I’m over on the Pink & Main blog with a fun birthday card featuring the super fine glitter, flock and sparkling flock too! It’s definitely got bling and texture everywhere!

I started my card wanting to play with that really fun stack of gifts die cut from a few releases ago. I hadn’t gotten a chance and today a fun idea struck me. So I cut the stack from white cardstock 3 times and glued them together with EZ Squeeze liquid glue.

Next, I took a white panel cut down to 4×5.25 inches and the EZ Tear Tape that is 1/2 inch wide. I added strips of the tape at an angle across a few inches of the panel. I used my bone folder to really burnish the adhesive tape down and then removed the release paper one strip at a time starting with the center and working my way out. First, I added ocean wave super fine glitter, then I switched to sparkling fuzzy monster flock with glitter and finished the outside strips with fuzzy monster flock.

Next, I took another white panel and embossed it with the confetti embossing folder. I cut it in half at an angle and adhered it on either side of the flocked strips with liquid glue. After the glue was dry, I trimmed off anything hanging over the edge. This panel was so cool on it’s own, I was tempted not to cover it with anything! Haha.

However, there was the matter of that fun stack of gifts. So I started playing with placement and digging in my stash to see what I wanted to pair with it. That was so much fun! I ended up landing on this sweet duck from Party Animal. I stamped and colored him with copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut him out. Next, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the same set and used the cool sentiment strip dies in the Sunny Greetings die set to cut it out.

When I started laying out my design I thought the white stack of gifts was lacking. So I went digging again and found this awesome green glitter paper from the Spring Glitter paper pad, cut it out and added it to the top. Perfection! I added the gifts to the panel with liquid glue and put a giant acrylic block on top while it dried because of all the texture underneath.

Then I added the sentiment strip with foam and the duck with a combo of foam and liquid glue. Finally, I popped the whole thing up on a white card base with foam strips and added a little touch of glossy accents to the image for some shine.

Welcome, welcome everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I’m over on the Pink & Main blog playing with the latest release – mostly the new gorgeous heat embossing powders because these colors are everything!!! Oh my word, I love them!

Today I chose a sentiment from the new Here For You stamp set and heat embossed it in Grape Soda embossing powder on a tag. I cut a second tag from teal textured cardstock and tied them together with orange ribbon. I tied a bow and added to the top of the tag for a little decoration with EZ Squeeze liquid glue.

For my background, I just had to play with the new Ornate Tile embossing folder! It’s beautiful too! I embossed orange cardstock and used my blending brush to deepen the edge of the embossing with orange ink. I popped the panel up on a white card base and glued my tags in place next.

Wanting to add more color to my card and play with the embossing powders more, I smeared the embossing ink pad across a scrap of white cardstock and sprinkled the Bubblegum color of powder on it. I heated it up for a gorgeous swatch of the color. Then I used the small heart in the tag die set to create my own shiny embellishments for my card!

I added all of them with foam squares for some dimension and now my card is all finished. Isn’t it so pretty?!? I just love all these bright colors!

Happy Friday my friends! I don’t know about you but it’s been a long week and I’m really looking forward to this weekend to relax and recoup.

Today I’m on the Pink & Main blog with a little inspiration featuring the Stamp of the Month for April – Lady Luck. I adore these sweet images and can’t actually believe just how much I love the color palette that came together on today’s card.

I started today by choosing and image from Lady Luck, stamping it and coloring it with my copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and went digging in my stash to see if any of my background dies inspired me.

The moment I pulled out the Plaid Cover dies I knew this was it! I cut one layer from teal cardstock matching the colors in the umbrella and the other layer from the white glitter cardstock in the Metallics Glitter paper pack. Next, I took an A2 white cardstock panel and inked it up with scattered straw fading into squeezed lemonade distress oxide inks. I flicked water on the panel and let it air dry before adhering the plaid layers over the top.

Next, I chose a sentiment from the set and used the coordinating die to cut it out as well. I love it when sets do this. It’s such an awesome option to have when creating. Then I added foam squares and strips to the image and sentiment and popped them up on the card front.

For finishing touches I added unicorn Stickles to the dots on the umbrella and glossy accents to the flower centers, ladybug nose and her spots. Then I used a black glaze pen on her eyes to help them shine and pop. Last, I pulled out the Dragonfly Dreams enamel dots and added a scattering of them across the design.

This card just screams spring to me and I’m over the moon with how it turned out. I love these soft colors and the ladybug image is just the sweetest! I hope you enjoyed it too.

Hello everyone! I’m over on the Pink & Main blog today with a sneak peek of the upcoming stamp set called Love You More PLUS a whole new product that Pink & Main is going to carry…embossing powder and ink!!! It’s so much fun!

For today’s card, I chose an image from Love You More and stamped it on an oval cut from white cardstock. I used my copic markers to color it and matted it on the next size up oval cut from teal cardstock.

Next I took a piece of bright green cardstock and stamped the same images repeatedly all over it in the new embossing ink, then I sprinkled Sour Apple embossing powder on the panel and heat set it. Isn’t this color fantastic!!! I absolutely love it!

Next, I cut the embossed panel with the next-to-largest stackable rectangle and added foam tape to the back before adhering it to a white card base. Then I popped the ovals up with foam tape as well.

Finally, I chose a sentiment to heat emboss using the new white embossing powder and die cut it with a large sentiment banner die before popping it up as well. For finishing touches I added a scattering of new Cool Jellies embellishments. These colors are beautiful!

Welcome friends! Today I’m over on the Pink & Main blog with a new, fun card featuring the May Stamp and Die of the Month – Lady Luck! It is super cute and has some great sentiments in it too!

To create my card, I stamped images from Lady Luck and colored them with my copic markers. Next, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and arranged them to see how big of a panel I needed to create my little scene. I decided 3×4 inches worked really well so I cut a piece of white cardstock and blended a little ground and sky with my blending brushes.

I added my images and sentiment with foam squares and set the panel aside. Next, I cut an A2 panel from kraft cardstock. Then I chose a fun plaid paper from the new Year Round Plaids paper pack and cut three strips measuring 1.25×5.25 inches each. I added those to the kraft panel with foam tape and then added my scene panel with foam tape as well.

Finally, I added the whole thing to a white card base with EZ Squeeze liquid glue and switched gears to finishing touches. For that I kept it simple with glossy accents on the ladybug spots, flower centers and sunshine in the sky.

I am so happy with how this card came together and just love the strips of plaid instead of a solid panel in the background. Isn’t that cool?!?

Hello again! Today I’m over on the Pink & Main blog sharing this pair of cards I made with the March release of birthday amazingness! The new version of stencils from Pink & Main are wonderful for all sizes of cards – A2, A7 and slimline alike! So today I took a fun design and made it in A2 and slimline versions to show you.

I started by creating the backgrounds just to play with the new Birthday Candles layering stencils. They are so fun and I just had to play. After creating the A2 version, I tested the size of a slimline and was SO HAPPY to realize it fits perfectly there too! So I made a second one the exact same way.

The candles are just light and dark teal ink for the candle, yellow ink for the flame and glossy gel through the inner flame. After I removed the stencil from the glossy gel, I poured on sparkling monarch flock and tapped it into each flame. I flicked off the excess and set the panels aside to dry.

While the panels were drying, I stamped images from Yappy Birthday and colored them with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and set them aside. Next, I die cut “HBD” letters from peach cardstock once for each card and white cardstock 3 more times for each card. I used my EZ Squeeze liquid glue to adhere the letters together and put acrylic blocks on top while they dried.

I chose sentiments for each card from Yappy Birthday and heat embossed them in white on black cardstock before cutting them into strips. Then I glued the letters down with liquid glue and popped the image and sentiment strip up with foam squares.

I absolutely made these cards simultaneously and the process was the same on both. I just used different pups for each card because it was a fun excuse to color different cuties!

For finishing touches on both cards, I added a scattering of enamel dots across the designs and unicorn Stickles on tops of the party hats. Then, last I added glossy accents to both images on the party hats, puppy noses and bowtie/collar.
