Trinity Stamps – Hello Rainbow

Hey there! Today I’m up on the Trinity Stamps Blog sharing nothing but sunshine and rainbows!

I started off this fun card by ink blending a panel for my sky. I had an idea where I wanted my sun so I was sure to leave a space for a little yellow glow. Then I die cut all my pieces from the Cloudy Day Scene Builder dies and also the Rainbow dies. I used my copics to give everything color and started to decide on a final layout with my Mouse House stamps as placeholders.

From there I stamped, colored and die cut all of my images with the coordinating Mouse House dies. Then I started assembling my card. I popped the Cloudy Day panel up with foam strips and then added my rainbow and additional clouds with foam squares. Finally, I glued down my mice with a combo of liquid glue and foam squares where needed and moved on to finishing touches.

I used black glaze pen on the mouse eyes and noses, Stickles on the sunshine and Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the rainbow. I also added dots of glossy accents on the mushrooms and flower center. Finally I added some clay hearts from a special embellishment mix that was handed out at Creativation – but you can get most of the ones I used in this mix called Crafty Love.

Funny thing…it wasn’t until now that I realized I didn’t have a sentiment (or a real space for one) on my card. Oops. I suppose it’s not totally necessary but I thought it would be fun to add something, so I grabbed my Hello Senti-mini dies, cut it from silver glitter cardstock and glued it below the mouse on the top left. It filled in a little empty space and added some extra sparkle, which I love!

Newton’s Nook – Hap-Pig Birthday!

Hi there! I’ve been making so many thinking of you cards that I decided to go a different route for today’s card. I’m using Oink from Newton’s Nook with some Trinity Stamps dies. The punny sentiments in this set are just the best for many occasions but the birthday one made me giggle.

I started this card by stamping out all of the images from the Oink set and coloring them with my copics. Then using the coordinating dies, I cut them out…one was lost because the die shifted in my die cutter, such a bummer but the ones left worked out great for this design.

Wanting to use all of the images on one card, I decided to make it a slimline. Using my Trinity Stamps Slimline series dies, I cut out all the layers and started deciding on a final layout. At this point I thought it would be fun to have some grass for my piggies to sit on so I inked up a panel and die cut it with the Slimline Borders grass die.

Now for the actual assembly, I adhered the red panel to a card base, then the blue patterned paper to that. I popped up the white frame with foam squares and adhered the grass to that. The piggies are attached with a combo of tape runner and foam squares where they overlap the window openings.

I decided on the sentiments I wanted to use and found speech bubbles from the Newton’s Nook speech bubble die set that fit them. Once those were die cut and stamped, I added them to the card front and moved on to finishing touches.

I kept those pretty simple with a black glaze pen to the eyes, white gel pen accents throughout and glossy accents to a few key places like the bow, bandana and cake.

This fun card is all finished and ready for the world. These piggies seriously make me smile every time I look at them! I can’t wait to make more fun cards with them, especially with the one image I didn’t get to include here.

Mama Elephant – Just Wanted to Say…

Hi there! I’m back with another card from the bundle of Mama Elephant Stackable Cutie cards I made. This one was super quick to come together but it’s so adorable! I just love it!

To make this card I took some Perfectly Plaid Lawn Fawn paper and die cut it with a stitched rectangle. Then I cut the My Favorite Things Rectangle Peek-a-boo Window from that. Using the window as a guide I inked a pink shadow with my blending buddy brush, and then popped my frame and elephant up with foam tape.

Using my MISTI I stamped a speech bubble above the elephant with the same ink I used for the background. I also stamped part of a sentiment from the Trinity Stamps Hello Senti-mini set and popped it up with a foam strip. Next, I stamped the hello from the same set on the inside of the card in a light blue dye ink.

For finishing touches I added black glaze pen to the eyes, white gel pen accents and a scattering of clay hearts around.

A simple, super sweet card perfect for someone in my life!

Poppystamps – Hello Again

Well, hello there…again! 😉 Today I’m sharing yet another way I thought to use the Poppystamps Delightful Daisy dies paired with the Luscious Script Hello. I absolutely love this sentiment die! You’ll be seeing a lot of it, I can already tell!

For today’s card, I started by die cutting my flowers from heavy weight cardstock and colored them with copic markers. Playing off the colors I chose for the flowers, I inked up a panel with distress oxide inks using picked raspberry and scattered straw. I spritzed the panel with water and then flicked gold watercolor on it. Once it was dry, I trimmed it down to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 so there is just a teeny white border showing from the cardbase. The flowers are glued directly to the inked panel and that is popped up on the card base with foam tape.

Then I moved on to the sentiment. I die cut the word hello from gold cardstock once and white cardstsock three times. I adhered all of these together and then die cut the shadow from white as well and glued them together. The sentiment is glued directly to the card front and I moved on to finishing details.

With the shimmer from the gold cardstock and the watercolor splatters, I didn’t think it needed a whole lot but was missing something. I reached for my stash of embellishments and landed on Trinity Stamps Fortune Teller embellishments. I love how these show a little of the color that is behind them but have an opalescent sheen. So pretty! I scattered them about the design and, voila, this card is finished.

This is my final entry into the Poppystamps challenge for this month. I hope you enjoyed these last few days, seeing different ways to use the same dies. It’s always great to get more mileage out of the products you have. I hope you’ve found some inspiration and enjoyed the cards I’ve made.

Poppystamps – Colorful Daisies

Hi there! I’m so excited to share another card using my new Poppystamps Delightful Daisy dies. While I was making yesterday’s card, this idea popped in my head and I had to try it out. It took a couple of tries but I really like how it turned out.

I started out trying Tombow markers on watercolor paper but it just wasn’t giving me the results I was hoping for, so I reached for my distress oxide inks and started blending. This is different than my original idea but I love it. After I was done blending, I spritzed it with water and set it aside to dry while I die cut my flowers. Then, I took copic markers and colored the flower centers and glued them on.

I adhered my flowers down to the inked panel and trimmed it down to 4×5.25. Then I cut a black mat to show about 1/8 of an inch around that. The black panel is adhered to the card front and the inked panel is popped up with foam tape. I stamped my sentiment from Trinity Stamps A Crafters Heart stamp set, trimmed it to a strip and popped it up as well.

For finishing touches I put glossy accents on the flower centers for a bit of shine and then glued Trinity Stamps boiled sugar jelly drop hearts around the design.

I absolutely adore this rainbow of flowers! This sentiment couldn’t be more perfect too! I’m excited to link this card up to the Poppystamps monthly challenge too.

Poppystamps – Hello

Happy Saturday everyone!!! Thanks for taking a minute to stop by. I received some happy mail a couple days ago and couldn’t wait to dig in and make a few cards with my new dies from Poppystamps. Here is the first one I finished. I’ll be entering it into their monthly challenge – floral.

I had an idea what I wanted to do with the dies so I started on my background. I cut a white panel down to A2 size and grabbed my Tombow markers for a little ink smooshing. After a few layers I liked what was going on and set it aside to dry. Then I die cut the delightful daisy 4 times from white cardstock and glued them together. I did the same with the flower centers as well. Then I die cut the luscious script hello 4 times from the same white cardstock and the shadow from a light purple and adhered them all together as well.

I finished things off with some Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the flower centers and a scattering of Jellyfish Jewels from Trinity Stamps.

In light of things going on, I’ve been mailing out a lot of happy mail and thought this card would be a perfect addition to that stash.

Trinity Stamps – Monster Love Trio

Welcome everyone! I’m up on the Trinity Stamps blog today sharing a project that started out as a simple idea I was excited to try and quickly grew a mind of its own. In a super fun and awesome way! One card, turned into two, which turned into a tag to go with it as well! I loved going with the flow as all of this evolved. I hope you enjoy it as well!

I’m going to share these projects with you in the order that they evolved. It seems fitting and most logical. 🙂

For this first fun card, I chose an array of blueish-teal cardstocks from my stash and cut them down to 4.25×5.5. Then I took the nested heart dies and, starting with the largest, cut one out of each color; creating a tunnel effect.

At this point I realized I was going to have all of the hearts that I cut out and thought it would be fun to make a second card with those too. So, I grabbed my Monster Love images to stamp out. Colored them and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I glued all the heart windows together with the lightest being a solid backing piece and attached it all to a card base. Then I chose the monster I liked best for this design and adhered it, tucking it inside the heart window. Next I grabbed my Happy Senti-mini stamps and dies to add a sentiment to this cute card.

For this next card I trimmed the lightest cardstock down to 4×5.25 and adhered it to a white card base. Then I stacked the hearts and adhered them down too. I tucked my super cute monsters behind a couple of the hearts and glued them down too. I added sentiments from the Hello Senti-mini stamps and dies to this card.

For finishing touches on both cards I added black glaze pen to the monster eyes, white gel pen accents throughout the images and glossy accents to monster noses, horns and mouths. You know I like glitter so I also added Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the die cut part of the sentiments. Then I took boiled sugar jelly drop hearts and scattered them about.

At this point I had an extra monster left and I couldn’t just neglect him so I thought it would be fun to make a tag that followed the theme of my crafting session. I used all the same cardstock colors, die cut a tag and using the monster for spacing I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Thank You Senti-mini set. I popped my monster up with foam squares, added some more boiled sugar jelly drop hearts and finished it off with some twine from my stash.

I know this was a super long post today but I was really excited to share all of these project with you. I hope you’ve found some inspiration somewhere along the way.

Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps products, and there are prizes up for grabs, too!

I used a plethora of products from both Trinity Stamps and Heffy Doodle to create these cute projects! They work so well together and are so fun to play with!

To make my slimline card, I cut a 3.5 x 8.5 panel and stamped Trinity Stamps’ Awesome Human image pretty much in the center. Then I inked the panel up with distress inks and colored the image with copic markers. Next I stamped, colored and die cut my images from Heffy Doodle’s Superdudes and Rescue Dog.

I laid everything out to get a general idea where I wanted my stenciling. Once I figured it out, I grabbed my Shine Brighter stencil from Trinity Stamps and added white glitter glitz gel. Once that was dry, I used the Trinity Slimline Scenic Borders die set to create some clouds with iridescent vellum. Last, I popped my images on with a combination of foam tape and liquid glue.

I thought this card could use a little something else so using the Trinity Stamps Frame and Fold dies, I cut a red frame and adhered it before starting on my finishing touches.

I added white gel pen accents throughout the stamped images and Stickles to all of the stars. Then I finished it off with glossy accents to the masks, shoes and chests of the super heroes and don’t forget the puppy’s nose.

I thought it would be so fun to make a tag to go with this great card so it could be given as a gift set. I loved the a-typical shape of Heffy Doodle’s Tag Along set and couldn’t wait to try it!

To make this, I die cut the main tag shape, inked it up like the card and then used my Trinity Stamps Shine Brighter stencil about where I wanted the girl to stand. This time I used VersaMark Ink and glitter embossing powder with the stencil so it was flat and the shaker bits wouldn’t get stuck.

Next, I die cut the tag frame 6 times from the coordinating colors of cardstock – red, yellow and blue – and glued them all together to the tag base. I die cut one additional red frame and another full tag shape from acetate for my window.

I sprinkled in some Trinity Stamps Popcorn Sugarstars and yellow Funfetti Love embellishments and closed the tag up. I stamped and die cut my sentiment from a banner in the Heffy Doodle Tag Along set and popped it on the front with foam tape. Then I popped my images on with foam tape as well and added a couple more yellow hearts from the Funfetti Love mix to fill in the banner.

To finish this cute tag off, I added the hole reinforcer in blue (it comes in the Tag Along die set) and some yellow and blue baker’s twine from my stash. Then I added white gel pen accents to the images and glossy accents just like the images on the card.

Trinity Stamps – Mouse House Snow Globe

Hello again everyone! This weekend I had some extra crafting time and was able to get another idea out of my head and into reality that I’d been thinking about for a while.

I used the Trinity Stamps Mouse House stamp set along with the Tall Shaker Dome dies to make a fun scene! I love both of these sets so much! The mice are just the cutest and this tall snow globe-style dome is so fun to fill with lots of different things!

To make this card I started by stamping, coloring and die cutting my Mouse House images and then set them aside to work on the Tall Shaker Dome. I cut all of the dome pieces from white cardstock and used Distress Oxide Inks to blend some color on them. I used liquid glue to assemble everything and then trimmed off any excess of the images.

At this point I thought it would be fun to make it look like the dome was glass so I die cut another top portion of the dome from acetate and adhered it over the top.

I think this little detail gives it a pretty cool look. To finish off the dome I stamped my sentiment on the label and adhered it as well.

After that was finished I moved on to the background. I blended distress oxides and then also used the same colors to splatter on a panel. After all of that was dry I die cut the panel from the largest Frames and Flags die set from Newton’s Nook. This panel is popped up with foam tape and then the Tall Shaker Dome is popped up with foam tape as well.

In a world full of crazy, I think it’s important to stay positive and help others as well. I’m going to be mailing out happy mail periodically to try to give people in my life a little piece of happy.

Paper Smooches – Hey Chickie!

Welcome everyone! I’ve been having extra fun in my craft room lately, making a point to pull out stamps that have been neglected for far too long. Today I’m playing with Paper Smooches Chubby Chums. I love this series of stamps so much! Their unique look and punny sentiments lend themselves to so many fun scenes and silly ways to put them together.

Today I paired them with the Trinity Stamps Slimline die series for a giant stack of critters just here to say, “Hey!”

To create this card I actually started by die cutting the shapes because these dies are solid. You can’t see through to line them up so I die cut them first and then line the stamps up on the shape and stamp them with my MISTI. Then I colored them in with my copics and moved on to my background.

I cut a panel down to 3.5×8.5 and grabbed my distress oxides. For the sky I used tumbled glass and then I used my Newton’s Nook mountains stencil with antique linen, flipped the stencil over and used tea dye ink for another layer in the background. Then I used mowed lawn on a piece of white cardstock and die cut it with my Trinity Stamps Slimline Scenic Borders grassy die. I flipped that piece of cardstock over and die cut my clouds from that same die set. After I glued the clouds and grass to the inked panel, I brought my mountain stencil back in and added texture paste for snow caps on the mountains and set it aside to dry.

Now for assembly, I added foam tape to the back of all my critters and stacked them up like blocks. At this point I thought the card needed something else so I pulled out my Trinity Stamps Slimline Series: Frame and Fold dies and die cut a red frame to adhere to my card. I love the pop of color that gives the whole thing. I stamped my sentiments at the top and bottom and moved on to finishing touches.

I started with white gel pen accents throughout all the images and then black glaze pen on eyes and noses. I added glossy accents to noses and beaks and then finished off with some color coordinating gems throughout the background.

I plan to enter this into the Paper Smooches Challenge – Anything Goes that is going on right now.
