Pretty Pink Posh – Sending Monster Hugs

Hey crafty friends! I’m popping in this afternoon with a fun shaker card I create this weekend with my most recent Pretty Pink Posh haul. It wasn’t a huge order but it had somethings I have been wanting for a while and was very excited to play!

I knew I wanted to pair some cute monsters with the stitched film strip die, so that’s where I started. Once I chose my images, I stamped and colored them with copic markers, using the coordinating dies to cut them out. Then, instead of cutting a white film strip frame, I inked up a scrap of cardstock with blue, teal and green inks and cut my frame from that. I love how this part turned out. To keep the background neutral, I inked up a strip of white cardstock lightly with black ink.

To turn the stitched film strip die into a shaker, I adhered the monsters behind the inked frame and then glued a piece of acetate to that. I added foam tape to the film strip frame and filled the wells with Wishing on Rainbow Stars embellishments from Twiddler’s Nook and sealed the panel up with the black ink blended strip I had ready to go.

For a little outer space whimsy, I decided to use two of the three layers from the Spooky Sky stencil set. I started with a 4×5.25 inch panel of gray cardstock and inked the edges with gray ink for a little depth. Then I used white pigment ink on the cloud stencil layer and finished the panel off with yellow ink on the star layer. Using the shaker strip as a guide, I stamped my sentiment in the lower left corner and then added the panel to a card base with foam tape.

I used liquid glue to add the shaker strip to the card from and finished the whole design off with black blaze pen on the eyes and glossy accents on the antennae and horns of the monsters.

I think secretly I’m ready for Halloween or something. I keep being really drawn to all of the things I would usually pull out for spooky crafting. This totally makes me giggle. I suppose it’s like those who love Christmas all year long.

Miss Ink Stamps – Hippo Infinity Shaker Card

Hello again crafty friends! I’m so glad you stopped by today. I have an infinity shaker card to share with you featuring goodies from Miss Ink Stamps today.

When I saw the Artsy Abstracts stencil set, some of them reminded me of water and I really wanted to try pairing it with the super adorable Hippo Hooray set. So, that’s the fun I have to share with you today.

I started by choosing a few images from Hippo Hooray, stamping and coloring them with my copic markers. I used the scan-n-cut to cut them out and set them all aside while I played with my stencils!

For that, I started with a light blue cardstock panel measuring 4×5.25 inches and a few blue and teal inks to use with my stencils. I inked up a few blobs and then added the texture detail layer with teal.

I used some discarded stamp packaging to create an infinity shaker and poured in Twiddler’s Nook princess rings confetti embellishments for my shaker. I thought these looked a bit like bubbles. I sealed it up and adhered it to my card front.

I added a few seaweed images with tape runner but the rest are adhered with foam squares. Finally, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment, die cut it with a strip and popped it on with foam squares as well.

The only finishing touch I added to this card is black glaze pen to the eyes of all the critters and a little white highlight added back in to the hippo.

Artsy Abstracts stencils
Hippo Hooray stamps

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Hi Cutie

Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s time for tea over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today! I finally took a moment to ink up the adorable My Favorite Person stamp set from the last Mama Elephant release and it did not disappoint! SOOOOO CUTE!

I colored my critters first and then went in to the mugs and hearts with a bit of a muted rainbow palette just for something different. Then I chose a variety of the small sentiments in the set and heat embossed each heart with a different one.

Next, I stamped and heat embossed one of the regular strip sentiment on black cardstock and die cut it with a sentiment strip from my stash.

When it came to arranging my images, I kind of wanted the sentiments to read left and down to the right…so that’s what I did. I added that cute bear to the sentiment strip with a little liquid glue on his feet and popped them up with foam squares. Then I added the stack of mugs to the center and finished things off with the sweet fox and mouse on the right.

I added some teal strips to the top and bottom of my yellow dotted background and popped them up on a white card base. Then to finish things off and tie in the white card base I added some white clay hearts from the Twiddler’s Nook Sweethearts embellishment mix.

Products used today:
Mama Elephant My Favorite Person stamps and dies
Pink & Main Sunny Greetings dies (sentiment strip)
Bearly Art liquid glue
Twiddler’s Nook Sweethearts embellishment mix
Foam tape

Mama Elephant – Set of 4 Little Agenda Shaker Cards

Hello everyone. I hope your week is chugging along nicely. We have had some wild weather the last few days but it’s so sunny and nice today, it’s hard to believe the hail and downpours we had just yesterday.

Today I wanted to pop in and share a set of 4 cards I created using the most recent Mama Elephant release paired with shaker bits from the Twiddler’s Nook shop.

I couldn’t resist this adorable Little Line Agenda set. It was a freebie last year that I missed out on and was ecstatic when they brought it out for regular purchase. These cuties are so fun and these arrangements are great for so many occasions!

I stamped each of the images on Bristol Smooth cardstock with VersaFine ink and colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. This is not my go-to coloring medium but sometimes a change is just so refreshing. I saw down and colored them all and then assembled them in the same layout for a great set to use or give as a gift.

I chose a textured cardstock from my stash for the background of each card, cut to 3.75×5 inches for that extra wide white edge. Then I used the new Two Scallop Frames die set to create the shaker mechanisms.

For sentiments on each card, I used the Easy Sentiments stamps and coordinating die. I absolutely love this set and being able to have multiple sentiments at a time is fantastic! I have pre-mades ready to go in white, kraft and black cardstock.

The shaker filler for each of these cards come from the Twiddler’s Nook shop. The kitties at the beginning have pink primrose confetti bits, the bunnies have fresh as a daisy clay bits, the puppies have a combo of love letters and sweethearts clay bits and the last card with the packages has wishing on rainbow stars confetti.

Aren’t these all just the sweetest!?! They have a really clean and simple design but I feel like the shaker adds so much and makes them so fun!

MFT Stamps – Smile Card Duo

Hi there! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Today I have a pair of cards to share with you that were inspired by one of the MFT Stamps designers last week. I couldn’t get the design out of my head and when I started creating I immediately had 2 ideas that I wanted to try.

The card on the left is the one that was inspired by Carly. Click HERE to see her card. Mine is a tad different but I’m not much for directly copying designs. Things just morph on their own as I start creating.

As soon as I die cut the word from the white panel for the first card, I had the idea to use it on another card so I had no waste. I love how they both turned out.

On this first card, I cut a white panel down to 4×5.25 inches and die cut the word using the Big Smile die. This has since sold out but you could do the same thing with any alphabet dies you may have, or even change it up completely for a different word.

Using the die cut panel as a guide I taped off the edge of my card base and used blending brushes to ink up a light rainbow where it will show through. Then I added foam tape to the back of the panel and popped it in place.

I stamped and heat embossed a small sentiment on black cardstock and cut it out with a banner die from the Trinity Stamps 4-Bar Card die set. I stamped and colored the koala from Weather With You and cut it out with the coordinating dies too. The banner and koala are adhered with liquid glue directly to the card front.

I finished things off with black glaze pen the the eyes, glossy accents to the nose and a scattering of pink clay hearts from the Twiddler’s Nook Sweethearts embellishment mix.

I think this is such a sweet card! It would be great to add a birthday message to the inside or maybe a congratulations too. It’s so versatile.

After making that first card, I had the letters from cutting the window and I thought it would be fun to do the idea in reverse by stacking the letters for dimension here instead of creating a window. So, I pulled out white scraps and cut the word 4 more times and adhered the layers together with liquid glue.

I cut another panel down to 4×5.25 inches and stamped it in a light gray ink with the All Lined Up Diagonally background stamp. I changed out the critter for the bunny in the same Weather With You stamp set. Popping it up with foam squares before adding another heat embossed sentiment across “smile.” I forgot to mention earlier, the small heat embossed sentiments are from a Pretty Pink Posh set called Let’s Party. I thought they fit perfectly.

This panel is popped up on a white card base with foam tape and the finishing touches are the same. This time I chose red hearts from the same embellishment mix for a little pop of bright on a neutral colored card and I think that is so fun and eye catching.

I love these critters so much and any excuse to ink them up is a good one to me!
