Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your holiday was wonderful and you’re recovering from all the excitement! Ours was wonderful and after a few days of cleaning up things are getting back to normal. I was finally able to jump in the craft room and play with some new Avery Elle stamps that I received a few weeks ago. I’m totally crushing on their newest Valentine release!
Today I’ve pulled out my favorite – Peek-a-boo pals – again and paired one with the new Peek-a-boo Balloon for a great birthday shaker card.

I actually started this card by ink blending my background with distress inks – scattered straw, picked raspberry and salty ocean. Then spritzed it with water and set it aside to dry. Next, I stamped, colored and die cut my images from Peek-a-boo Pals and Peek-a-boo balloon. I glued the clouds to the inked panel and started on my shaker.
For that part, I die cut my Plus Frame twice and sandwiched acetate in-between. I scattered some shaker bits to the center of my inked panel, added foam tape to the frame and stuck it down. Then I glued my balloon and monkey to the acetate. For the sentiment I took some vellum and stamped my sentiment in black ink. I cut flags on the ends and sent it through my Xyron sticker maker so no adhesive showed through and stuck it down.

For finishing touches on this super fun card, I added black glaze pen to the eyes, glossy accents to the nose and balloon scallops and finished with Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on one stripe of the balloon.
I love the bright, cheery colors of this card and those peek-a-boo pals will always have my heart. They are so sweet and fun to play with. I love that Avery Elle has started creating things for us to pair them with like this awesome balloon!
I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
