Newton’s Nook Designs – February Release Day 4

Welcome to the final day of the Newton’s Nook Designs February release hop. I hope you’re loving everything and have your list ready for tomorrow when it all goes live in the shop! We’ve got 2 more stamps and a die set to share with you today. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello Spring

Easter Lily

I’ve got two beautiful cards to share with you today featuring these final stamp sets. I hope you enjoy!

For the first card, I stamped the Hello Spring image on a piece of cardstock and colored it with my copics. Then I trimmed it down to fit behind the smallest frame in the Framework die set and mounted the frame with foam tape.

Then I took the largest scallop rectangle from the Frames & Flags die set and cut some patterned paper with that. I wrapped some beautiful green ribbon around the panel and popped it up with foam tape on a kraft card base. Then I adhered the stamped panel to that and moved on to finishing touches.

This was such a simple card, I knew I wanted something to bring interest to the image so I got out my glossy accents that you all know I love but that wasn’t enough. So then I reached for my uber glittery Stickles and added that to the bunny’s tail and the flower. I think it adds just the right touch.

Now, for the gorgeous Easter Lily image.

After laying everything out to decide my design; I stamped, colored, die cut my image and set it aside to get everything else in order. I used the gingham stencil with a pigment ink that’s almost the same color purple as my cardstock and then die cut it with the largest in the Framework die set. This is when I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment in the lower right corner of the design.

Next I cut a flag from the Frames & Flags die set and lined it up with the same Framework die and cut the end to match.

Now for assembly! I put foam tape on the back of the purple panel and wrapped some twine around it tying a bow. Then popped in on a white card base. Next I also popped the flag up with foam tape. And because I love dimension, I popped those beautiful flowers up as well.

For finishing touches, I added glossy accents to the stamens on the flowers and adhered some pretty opalescent gems throughout the design.

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards…the whole week’s cards for that matter! Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Your cards are both so soft and pretty! I love the design with the lillies and your colors! The bunny card is darling with your popped up frame! Loving the shinny details on both of them too! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration! 🙂
