Newton’s Nook – Happy Halloween

Hello everyone! I’m over on the Newton’s Nook blog today. I’m super excited to share today’s card with you. I just love how it turned out and it’s got so many fun things to talk about!

I knew straight off that I wanted to play with Batty Newton and a fun green sky. So I set to work stamping him out and coloring him with copics. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut him out and moved over to my sky panel. I had an over-sized white panel that I used distress inks and the clouds stencil with. I used mowed lawn toward the bottom and twisted citron on the top.

Then I die cut the inked panel and an extra black piece with the Slimline Frames and Portholes die. Then I used the Land Borders to cut some grass from the black one. I pulled out the Forest Scene Builder dies and cut some trees in black for a silhouetted ground. I used liquid adhesive to adhere all of my pieces together. The sentiment I chose is from Batty Newton and I stamped it with black ink at the top of my panel. Then I popped up my Batty Newton with foam squares.

I adhered my panel to a purple card base that measures 3.5×8.5 inches with foam tape and moved on to finishing touches. For those I added some new Gone Batty embellishments from the Twiddler’s Nook shop, white gel pen accents to the image and glossy accents to Newton’s nose and toe beans.

This card was so fun to create! I hope you enjoyed it! It’s finally feeling like fall around here and my heart is so happy. What’s your favorite season?

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
