Newton’s Nook Holiday Release – Day 1

Oh my word do I have a fun week in store for you! It’s reveal week for the Newton’s Nook Holiday Release and every single thing is just incredible! I can’t wait to share it all with you. First, today’s products are a couple of great stencils and a couple of fabulous stamp sets. Let’s take a look.

Tiny Trees and Reindeer Stencils

Destination Christmas

Christmas Campers

I’ve got a couple of super fun projects to show you featuring today’s stamp sets and I’m using the stencils throughout the week in a couple of different fun ways!

For my Destination Christmas card, I thought it would be fun to have the cars driving down the road in a bit of a blizzard so I made a shaker card. Combining the Frames & Flags dies with a Framework die I created a frame and backed it with acetate. I glued my card to my road and trimmed off the excess, then glued the road to the back of the acetate and lined the frame with foam tape. I sprinkled some snowflake confetti on my snowflake stenciled background and adhered my shaker window. To finish things off I stamped my sentiment on a flag and trimmed it down before adhering it to the front of the shaker window.

One funny tidbit, I created today’s cards on completely separate days with other cards being made in between but somehow they both took on the same color tones. It kind made me giggle a little bit when I was organizing everything.

For my Christmas Camper card, I started with glitter glitz gel and the reindeer stencil on a panel. Then I colored my images and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I cut out a couple circles using the Circle Frames dies and inked them up with blending brushes. I trimmed the green one down with a land borders die. I stamped some snowflakes on the blue one and adhered the 2 together. Then I popped my images up with foam squares. I did some partial die cutting with a banner from the Frames & Flags dies to make it longer and stamped my sentiment at the bottom. I adhered the circle scene to the flag and popped it up on the stenciled panel. Then the whole thing was added to a card base.
