Welcome everyone! Today I’m over on the Newton’s Nook blog sharing an adorable circular card featuring an array of products that all just seemed to play so well together!
For this card, I had an idea in my head so I started by stamping and heat embossing the Snowfall Roundabout image on white cardstock. Then I inked it up with blue dye inks and a blending brush. Next, I die cut the inked panel with the largest stitched circle from the Circle Frames die set. I pulled another circle die set from my stash and cut a silver glitter cardstock circle just a bit bigger than the Snowfall panel and last I die cut the largest Circle Frames die from white cardstock.
Now, I stamped and colored a puppy from the Christmas Puppies stamp set with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut him out and chose a sentiment to go with him. I thought it would be fun to use the Speech Bubble dies so I cut one of those and stamped it on there.
I wanted to ground the puppy in the scene so I cut another stitched circle from white cardstock and trimmed the top of it with a Sea Border die. Now for assembly! This card has lots of dimension but I just love it!
I started by adhering the snow drift to the snowfall panel with liquid glue, then I popped up the puppy and speech bubble with foam squares. The snowfall panel is glued directly to the silver glitter circle and that is popped up with foam tape.
I created a circle card base by folding a piece of white cardstock in half and shifted it down about a 1/2 inch before die cutting it with the same die I used for the largest scalloped circle layer.
For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the puppy’s nose and striped on the candy cane. Then I used unicorn Stickles for the spots on the scarf. Last, I added black glaze pen to the puppy’s eyes to help them pop a little.
Isn’t this card just too cute!?! I can’t get over it! Adorable!
