Waffle Flower – Sneak Peek Kit 1

Welcome! I’m really excited to be sharing a sneak peek of a brand new product and idea from Waffle Flower! They are starting a subscription kit that is a sneak peek of products coming in a future release! It’s a whole new idea and really fun too! There’s just a few products to play with but they are so fun and you get an idea of what’s coming up from them at the same time!

In this kit you get a couple of oval shaker windows in different sizes, a sweet layered stencil and a small die set. I couldn’t resist using both shaker windows straight away! The smaller one fits the cute bunny ears in the die set perfectly! And the larger one fills your card front beautifully!

The kit comes in this fun zipper pouch to keep your goodies stored in or perhaps to use for future crafty planning too! The card slides out of the pocket on the front and has a few ideas plus the products included in the kit. I love it!

For this first card, I stenciled a panel with the layered Bow stencil using two teal inks. When I was finished I thought it would be fun to step it up by going back and adding glitz glitter gel to the polka dots on the first layer. Then I creating my shaker by die cutting an oval, inking the edges and lining the back with double-sided tape. I attached the shaker window half way around, sprinkled sequins inside and sealed the rest. Then I created my bunny ears and bow and added it to the top with liquid glue.

In hind sight it would be easier to add the sentiment before creating the shaker but I was able to do it as an after thought easy enough. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment last before attaching everything to a card base.

The second time around, I decided to add the sentiment to the cardstock oval so it’s inside the shaker. This sentiment is actually masked off from the Waffle Flower Happy Thanksgiving stamps set. I love how big and bold the word is and it fit perfectly!

This time for shaker bits, I added a rainbow of die cut bows along with my sequins. I love the touch this adds! Then I stenciled the same bows in the background in gray to keep it neutral and not detract from the shaker.

  18. Shakers, bunnies and a pouch oh my. Who doesn’t love to receive a shaker card? They just bring such joy. And this kit has it all.
