Newton’s Nook – September Release Day 3

This week is flying by! Today is our last entry of release reveals and it’s so much fun! What NND release would be complete without a new Newton to create with!?! I hope you’ve loved everything and have your list ready to go for release day on Friday!

Candy Corn Newton stamps and dies

I know this is a large debate among many families…to candy corn or not? My daughter and I are candy corn fans, my husband not so much but my brother-in-law is outright repulsed by it. It’s become quite a joke and super fun this time of year.

For today’s card, I stamped and colored Newton plus the extra smaller candy corn images with copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I die cut a speech bubble and stamped my sentiment on that toward to top to leave room for the small images and switched to creating my background.

I cut four rectangles measuring 2×3 3/8 inches from two designs in the Halloween time paper pad. Then I folded one corner back on each one creating and opening in the center of my design. I glued them to a piece of teal cardstock and adhered the corners down with a foam square. Next I added Newton with foam squares, along with the speech bubble.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the face on the bucket and Newton’s nose. Isn’t this just super fun?!? Have I mentioned that I love spooky season!
