Waffle Flower – Gull-tastic Birthday

Welcome everyone. Thanks for stopping by today. I recently picked up the majority of the amazing Waffle Flower summer release with all of its beachy glory! I simply couldn’t choose and will be going back for the rest of it soon. It’s just too much fun!

I started this card by just playing with the Waffle Flower Beach Umbrella die and stencil combo and the Inquisitive Seagulls dies. Both of these products are so fun and could be used for lots of types of cards too.

Next, I took a piece of kraft cardstock, inked the edges and random stamped the sand texture included in the Inquisitive Seagulls stamp set. After that I took a scrap of teal cardstock and inked it with peacock feathers and splattered it with water. After that dried I stamped a sentiment with Lawn Fawn peacock ink. I love the subtle tone-on-tone look here.

Next, I glued the kraft layer to the bottom of a card base and the teal to the top section. Then I took a strip of white cardstock and tore the edges to resemble the foam of the wave coming in. I glued that down and then added the umbrella with foam squares and seagulls with liquid glue.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the seagull eyes and center of the umbrella.

Loving this new release and very excited to have some more time to play around with the rest of what I snagged very soon.
