Hi friends! I have a couple of cards to share today using the recently released Susan Tierney Cochburn Cottage Garden collection from Spellbinders. These dies make creating real looking florals so simple! I always have fun breaking out of my comfort zone with these projects and this time was no different.

First, I have a card featuring the Black-Eyes Susan Vines die set. Instead of following the true vine feel that the die is intended for, I created 3 florals and a bundle of leaves to scatter on my card front. See, they’re pretty even when you break the rules.

To add the color to all my floral bits I used distress oxide and spritz sprays on white cardstock die cuts. This gives great texture and the spritz has the best sparkle to it too! Once the sprays were dry, I used liquid glue to adhere the flowers together.

Next, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 3.75×5 and use the Loops embossing folder on it. For a little contract to the white card base, I lightly ink blended gray over the loops panel before popping it up with foam tape. Then I added the flowers with foam squares and the leaves with liquid glue. Finally, I used a hot foiled sentiment from the Simon Hurley Must-Have Sentiments plate and die set.

Next, I have a card to share featuring the Helenium and Ladybugs die set. This time I cut everything from colored cardstock and used blending brushes with dye inks to add more color variation throughout. Then I used a bone folder to curl the petals and leaves for added dimention.

I trimmed a piece of cream cardstock to 4×5.25 inches and used the Spellbinders corner notch punch to give the cool corner shapes. Then I ink blended brown from the left fading out, spritzed the panel with water and finally splattered more brown ink across it.

This time I added the flower and leaves with foam squares, plus the ladybugs too. For my sentiment I used the Autumn Sentiments Better Press plate and die set which is also popped up with a foam strip.
I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
