Paperie Ink – Just Wanted to Bug You

Welcome, welcome everyone! Just popping in to bug you on this fine Sunday morning. Haha! These sweet Paperie Ink ladybugs were just too cute to resist and the sentiments in the set are equally as adorable! Today I’m sharing a fun, just because card and it cracks me up every time I read the sentiment.

I stamped and heat embossed images from Bug For a Hug stamp set on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I watercolored them all with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a water brush pen. Then I used the scan-n-cut to cut them all out.

Next, I took a light blue panel and used white pigment ink with a blending brush and the Newton’s Nook clouds stencil. Then I used a Newton’s Nook land borders die to cut some grass from a green panel and inked up the edges with a blending brush for some dimension. Next, I used liquid glue to adhere the grass to the sky and the leaves to the top of the panel too. I did put acrylic blocks on the leaves until the glue was dry to make sure they stayed flat.

To keep things looking the same, I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment before adding the ladybug images. Then I popped those cuties up with foam squares. For finishing touches, I added some red hearts from Twiddler’s Nook Sweethearts embellishment mix and some Fresh as a Daisy embellishments in the grass too.

Last, I popped the panel up with foam tape a melon card base and this card is all finished. Cute as can be!

MFT Stamps – No One Stacks Up

Hey crafty friends! I have a super adorable and fun card to share with you today featuring some MFT Stamps goodies paired with beautiful ink blending and a Lawn Fawn backdrop die. Let’s get started!

I started this card with an idea in mind so I grabbed my inks and set to work blending the background panel first. These are distress oxide inks in tattered rose, dried marigold and abandoned coral. One of my very favorite combos ever! I spritzed it with water and blotted it dry. Then I flicked watered down black acrylic paint on the panel and set it aside to dry.

While I was waiting I die cut 3 of the MFT Stamps Out of the Box dies from kraft cardstock. I used a blending brush and Lawn Fawn walnut ink to darken some of the edges to give it depth. I used liquid glue to adhere the layers together and then stack my boxes too.

Next, I stamped the panda and a flag from MFT Stamps Weather With You stamp set and colored it with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out and used liquid glue to adhere them inside the stacked boxes.

Next, I stamped the sentiment and used a banner die from the Lawn Fawn Flippin’ Awesome set to cut it out. Now that the inked panel was dry, I ran it through my die cutter with the Lawn Fawn Polka Heart backdrop die. Next, we assemble everything!

I used liquid adhesive to adhere the background panel to a white card base. Then added foam squares to the back of the sentiment banner and stack of boxes and popped them in place.

For finishing touches, I added black glaze pen to the panda’s eyes and glossy accents to the flagpole and panda’s nose.

Isn’t this just a sweet little card to share with a friend!?! I love the critters in this set and all of the different sentiments too! So many options to mix and match!

Pink & Main – Wear a Crown

Welcome everyone! Today I’m having a little fun over on the Pink & Main blog today with some royal fruit! I have always loved the sentiment to be a like a pineapple and always wear a crown. It’s fun and reminds us to have confidence and be proud of who we are. Well, the new Pink & Main set called Sweet Friend is a fabulous new set with a couple of gorgeous pineapples and the coordinating stamps to color them in. This isn’t my typical style but it was so fun!

I decided to go with a circular card shape today because sometimes it’s just fun to be different! I chose the 4.25 inch circle and cut one from a melon cardstock and another to create a white card base. I used the EZ Squeeze liquid adhesive to adhere them together. Then I cut another circle from teal cardstock that is 2 sizes down from that and inked it up with the pyramids stencil and a darker teal ink. Such a fun texture behind the pineapples!

I popped this circle up with foam tape and moved on to stamping my pineapples. For those, I stamped 3 outlines and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I took the negative that was left over from die cutting and put it in my MISTI. I lined up the first fill-in stamp and picked it up with the lid, then I just inserted the die cut into the hole and stamped my colored ink, one at a time. It’s like an assembly line. It worked perfectly and I just breezed through stamping all of my pineapples.

I used liquid adhesive to adhere the two back pineapples and foam tape to adhere the middle one. Then I stamped my favorite sentiment from the set in a melon ink to coordinate with my base circle and die cut it with a large sentiment strip. I popped this up with foam tape and my card is all finished.

Miss Ink Stamps – Oh, Nuts!

Hey friends! I hope your week is chugging along smoothly. Today I’m popping in with a silly card from Miss Ink Stamps featuring some of my favorite squirrels from Oh, Nuts! I paired them with a little stenciling and decofoil for some texture and shine.

To start my card, I pulled out the Ins & Outs Quatrefoil and Latte Love stencils. The Ins & Outs stencils are 2-piece sets that work together to give you a center shape and a frame. Today I inked up the center piece with Lawn Fawn walnut ink and a blending brush, then taped the Latte Love stencil over the opening and added another layer of the same walnut ink. I removed the stencils and placed the quatrefoil frame stencil in place and spread Thermoweb transfer gel through the opening. I removed the stencil and set my panel aside to dry. Next, I turned on the laminator to heat up while the transfer gel dried and I cleaned up my workspace.

While I was waiting to foil my panel, I stamped images from Oh, Nuts! and colored them with my copic markers. I used the scan-n-cut to cut them out and set them aside. Next, I placed my stenciled panel in a folded sheet of parchment paper and added a piece of gold decofoil over the top. I ran this through my laminator and voila! Shiny, beautiful frame around my stenciling! This never gets old.

I trimmed my panel down to 4×5.25 inches and stamped a sentiment below the foiled frame. I added foam squares to the back of my images and popped them in place. Then I added foam tape to the back of the panel and popped it up on a white card base.

To finish things off I glued a scattering of gold baubles from the Twiddler’s Nook shop and added black glaze pen to the squirrel eyes and noses. After the eyes were dry I added a dot of white gel pen for a highlight.

Aren’t these furry little guys super cute?!? I love them and this sentiment leaves room for so many different types of cards too!

Lawn Fawn – Wild Ride

Hello everyone! I’m back again today to share a really special card that I made because today is my anniversary. My husband and I have been married for 14 years today and I couldn’t resist making this card because the sentiment was just too perfect!

To create my card, I started with a piece of kraft cardstock. I smooshed some green ink on my glass mat and spritzed it with water. Then I smooshed my paper in the ink repeatedly, drying in between layers. Once that panel was dry, I ran it through the die cutter with the Hero Arts vines and leaves cover die. I placed it over a light teal panel and thought it was too plain. So I used a blending brush and green ink on the edges of the teal panel and really liked the difference it made. So, I used liquid glue and adhered them together.

Next, I stamped and colored images from the new Lawn Fawn Toucan Do it set and then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the set on black cardstock and trimmed it into two strips.

With a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares I adhered all of my images and the sentiment strips. Then I went in for finishing touches like glossy accents to the bird beaks and unicorn Stickles to the butterflies and flower centers. I also added black glaze pen to the eyes and glossy accents to the jaguar noses too.

I’m just so happy with how this card turned out and am really excited to give it to my husband today too!

Trinity Stamps – Hello Lemons

Hey friends! Today I’m over on the Trinity Stamps blog sharing this fuzzy, fun slimline card featuring more new goodies from the most recent release!

To create my card, I started by grabbing the Lemon and Leaves stencil, choosing some inks, my blending brushes and a white panel for my stenciling.

You’ll notice that I had a yellow ink picked out but as I got that far in my stenciling I thought it would be way more fun to make fuzzy lemons. So I switched gears for that last layer and spread Thermoweb Transfer Gel Blanco through the lemon layer.

After I spread the transfer gel, I set my panel aside to dry while I cleaned up my mess and also turned on my laminator to heat up so it was ready to go when the panel was dry. I ran the panel through my laminator with a yellow decofoil flock transfer sheet in a folded piece of parchment paper. Then I just peeled the flock sheet away from the stenciled panel and MAGIC!

Then I pulled out the Slimline Embossed Edge dies and cut the largest one from black cardstock and the third largest one from the stenciled panel. Then I die cut the new Slimline Striped Frame Panel die from white cardstock.

For assembly, I adhered the black panel to a white card base, then adhere the striped frame panel to that. I added foam tape to the back of the stenciled panel and popped it in place next.

For my sentiment, I stamped hello from the new Big & Bold Sentiments stamp set and trimmed it out with my paper trimmer. I popped it on with foam tape as well.

I just LOVE the bright yellow lemons and their green leaves popping against the white and black of this card! Isn’t it just awesome!?!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Tea Party

Hi there! I’m over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog today for Tuesday Tea with Twiddler’s Nook. The most recent Trinity Stamps release was packed full of tea-riffic cuteness so I’m still playing with it and wanted to share this fun slimline tea party scene with you!

For this card, I stamped and heat embossed the new Slimline Tea Party stamp in black on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor the whole scene.

I used a Slimline Stitched Panel die to cut it out an added foam tape to the back. Then I die cut the new Slimline Dainty Scallop panel from gray cardstock and added foam to the back of that. I layered them together and then onto a white slimline card base.

Last of all, I stamped and heat embossed my favorite sentiment from this stamp set on white cardstock and used a banner die from Slimline Scalloped Panels and Banners to cut it out. I adhered it with foam squares.

Paperie Ink – You Are So Meowgical

Hey friends! I’m back today with an adorable unikitty slimline card to share featuring stamps from Paperie Ink and some other goodies from Newton’s Nook and Trinity Stamps. I just love these kitties so much! They are adorable and so fun to color!

I started my card by stamping and heat embossing the kitties on Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I watercolored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen. I used the scan-n-cut to cut them all out and switched over to my background.

Next, I used the Newton’s Nook Cloudy Sky stencil on a white panel with Lawn Fawn inks in rainbow colors. This is a 6×6 stencil so I did half of the panel, shifted the stencil down and continued my clouds. Then, I used my images as a guide to decide where I wanted my sentiment. I stamped it in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.

I die cut a couple of cloud strips with the Newton’s Nook Sky Borders die and adhered them to the stenciled panel with liquid adhesive. Then I used the largest Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Panel die to cut it out. This die leaves about a 1/8″ border so I trimmed down purple cardstock and adhered it to a white slimline card base before adhering the main card panel with foam tape.

I added foam squares to the back of my kitties and popped them in place. To fill in some of the space I thought these Trinity Stamps Boiled Sugar Jelly Drop Hearts were the perfect touch!

Isn’t this just the sweetest card?!? I could seriously color these sweet kitties all day long. I love the different poses and how chubby cute they are!

Here are the products I used on today’s card:

Pretty Pink Posh – Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends! I have a really fun themed card to share with you featuring stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I baked some blueberry muffins and delivered them to my parents with this card just for fun.

To create the card, I die cut one of the Stacked Edges 3 dies from red, white and blue cardstock and handful of times. Then I used liquid glue to adhere them to a white scrap of cardstock. Then I die cut the panel with the a Large Stitched Rectangle from Lawn Fawn. I adhered it to a card base and moved on to stamping and heat embossing.

The images for this card are all from the Pretty Pink Posh 4th of July set. I stamped and colored some with my copic markers and heat embossed others. Once I was finished, I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

Copic Color Map for this card:

Reds – R27, R29 (stars, banner and fireworks)

Blues – B37, B39 (stars, banner and fireworks)

MFT Stamps – No One Stacks Up To You

Hello again! I’m stopping by today with a super fun and adorable mini slimline card featuring an MFT Stamps set called Weather With You. I absolutely love these critters and had so much fun coloring and stacking them sky high!

I started by stacking my stamps up to see how many I could fit on a mini slimline card front. Then I stamped them out and colored them with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and set them aside.

Next, I pulled out two Trinity Stamps die sets – mini slimline card and envelope set and mini slimline stitched layers stack. I cut the second-to-largest stitched panel from a light blue cardstock and stamped it with MFT Stamps Diagonal Stripes Background stamp in Lawn Fawn mermaid ink. Then I used the scalloped panel die from the mini slimline card dies set and cut it from yellow cardstock.

I created a mini slimline card base by folding a 6×6 white cardstock panel in half to create a 3×6 card. I used liquid adhesive to adhere the yellow scalloped panel to the front. Then foam tape to the back of the striped panel and adhered it in place. Then I used liquid glue to adhere all my critters together and lined the back of them with foam tape as well.

I stamped a sentiment and die cut it with a banner die from the mini slimline card and envelope set and added foam strips to the back of that. I adhered the sentiment banner and critters at the same time to help with placement.

For finishing touches, I added black glaze pen to the critter’s eyes. Then glossy accents to their noses and the fish bowl. Finally, I glued a scattering of red clay hearts across the design and also put one in the panda’s hand because it was just too perfect!

Aren’t these guys just the sweetest?!? I absolutely adore them and can’t wait to play again soon!
