Trinity Stamps – Trick RAWR Treat

Happy Friday my friends! I’m so glad you’re here. Thanks for stopping by. Today I’m sharing a fun card using stamps, dies and stencils from the Trinity Stamps Autumn Gathering release. They did just have a new release this week (those goodies are on their way to me now) so be sure to check it all out for fall and winter crafting goodness! Click HERE to get to their store.

For my card today, I really wanted to play with the Moon Layers stencil so that’s where I started. I just used dye inks from my stash in light gray and yellow, with a little purple for the bottom part of the panel. Then I took a 4×5.25 inch piece of black cardstock and used the Haunted House Cutout die on the upper middle of the panel.

I stamped and colored that cute dino from Spookysaurus with my copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut him and the sentiments out. Now it’s time to assemble all the layers together.

I glued the haunted house panel to the moon panel with liquid glue and colored in the openings with copic markers. I popped that panel up on a piece of purple dot texture cardstock from my stash with foam tape. Then I added the dino and sentiments with foam squares for that extra dimension.

For finishing touches, I stamped the emphasis marks on the black panel and heat embossed them white to make that RAWR stand out more. Then I added black glaze pen to the dino’s eyes and glossy accents to his sucker and pumpkin bucket.

I love this so much! I have a fun shaker card planned for the haunted house die next. And maybe a sweet tag for a treat bag with that dino. He was really fun to color. Are you still making Halloween projects?

Miss Ink Stamps – Thanks a Fa La La La Latte

Hey friends! Miss Ink Stamps is the sponsor this month for the Caffeinated Christmas Challenge and today I’m playing along!

For this challenge, every month you have to create cards with coffee, Christmas and one other element. This month is gnomes! So I had a little fun mixing and matching different sets to create a little scene and a super fun sentiment!

I love how the sizes match from the gnome in Big Mugs and the snowman in Snow One Like You. So I stamped and colored them up with my copic markers. Then I used the scan-n-cut to cut everything out. I added the bird to the mug handle with liquid glue and then put foam squares on the back of everything.

I set those aside and cut down a piece of white cardstock to 4×5.25 inches and inked up the top portion with light and dark blue inks. Then I layered the Sweater Weather stencil over top and inked it with the lighter blue ink for a subtle texture in the background. Next, I placed that panel in my MISTI and carefully masked sentiments from Woodland Hearth and Brewtiful to create this really fun custom sentiment. (Seriously, I’m still smiling about how clever I think I am.)

I added the background panel to a kraft card base with foam tape and adhere the images next. Then I came in for the finishing touches. I started with glossy accents to the snowman buttons and eyes, then I switched to stardust Stickles for the snow on the tree, snowflakes and snowman. But the extras looked heavy on the right side of the card, so I switched back to glossy accents and added that to the gnome’s shoes and the stripe on the mug.

Pink & Main – Tidings of Comfort & Joy Shaker

Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s time for some Pink & Main inspiration using the recently released Poinsettia stencil. This single stencil has all of the layers to create a gorgeously inked poinsettia flower that covers your card front. It’s so beautiful! Today I turned my inked panel into a shaker card for added fun.

I started by inking the poinsettia layers with my blending brushes and dye inks, except for the center. Once I got to that point, I spread gold Glitz Glitter Gel through for some added bling. Then I set the panel aside to dry while I cleaned up.

To create a frame for my shaker, I took an A2 size piece of kraft cardstock and ran it through my die cut machine in the Woodgrain embossing folder. Then I cut a window out using a Stitched Arch die. I saved the inside piece for another card which is an extra bonus! Then I lined it with EZ Tear Tape and added a piece of acetate. I then, lined that with foam strips, sprinkled some Holly Super Fine Glitter to my panel and adhered them together.

Next, I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Pine Boughs with the new Platinum Ring embossing powder and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I popped it up with foam squares and adhered my shaker to a top folding white card base. Then, to finish off the design, I tied some twine around the top in a cute little bow.

I love the glitz and shine from the different elements, paired with the rustic feel of the woodgrain and twine wrapping.

Miss Ink Stamps – The Next Chapter

Happy Thursday everyone! I’m back with another bit of inspiration featuring the new Miss Ink Stamps Magical Release. It’s so amazing and so fun to play with! Today I have a graduation card to share that will be perfect for my stash until next summer.

For today’s card, I chose images from Magical Graduation to stamp and color with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and liquid glue to adhere them together. I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the set and cut it out with a banner die.

For my background panel I took a piece of white cardstock that measured 4×5.25 inches and blended distress oxide ink at an angle. Today I started with aged mahogany and went into fired brick, fading into nothing. I spritzed the panel with water and blotted it dry. Then I added the Lightning stencil over top and spread gold Glitz Glitter Gel through it, making a point not to cover the whole thing.

Once everything was dry, I added foam tape to the panel and popped it up on a white card base. Then I added foam squares to the sentiment banner and images and popped them in place next. For finishing touches, I added a little black glaze pen to his eyes and glossy accents to the scroll tie and tassel on the cap.

Magical Graduation stamps and dies
Lightning stencil
Thermoweb Glitz Glitter Gel – gold

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – National Coffee Day Hop

Welcome everyone! I’m so happy to be sponsoring another fun hop with the Coffee Loving Cardmakers! Today instead of my usual rundown of products we sell, I’d like to share a fun card with you and invite you to take a look at the shop to see all the things we have to offer. You’ll get a bonus entry into our giveaway if you check out the shop and comment with your favorite item too! Click HERE to visit the shop.

For my card, I cut down a piece of black cardstock and layered the Newton’s Nook Mugs stencil over top. I spread Thermoweb transfer gel blanco through the stencil and set it aside to dry. While I was waiting, I stamped and colored my favorite image from Newton’s Nook Pumpkin Latte. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and set it aside. Now that I had a bit of a color palette chosen, I switched to my card panel.

I took an A2 panel and die cut the stitched banner from Newton’s Nook Frames & Flags die set from the center. This is a sneaky way to save cardstock because you’re going to cover up the hole.

Then I inked up the edge of the panel with distress oxide in rusty hinge and dried marigold. I splattered the panel with water and let it dry. Then I inked the banner with distress oxide in shabby shutters and forest moss and splattered it too.

With my stenciled panel dry, and laminator heated up, I layered Snow Day Deco Foil over the top and place them in a Craft & Carrier sheet. I ran this through my laminator so I have shiny, bright white mugs. Next, I wrapped some recycled packaging around the panel, sealing up 3 sides and sprinkled in Twiddler’s Nook Caffeinated Crafting embellishment mix in the pouch. I sealed it up and adhered that to a dark brown panel. I added foam tape to the back of that and adhered it to the ink blended card front.

Finally, I added my image and sentiment banner with foam squares. Then, for finishing touches I added 3 hearts from the Caffeinated Crafting mix to both. I especially love the heart on the pumpkin. I think it’s extra cute!

Pretty Pink Posh – Spooky Wishes Shaker Cauldron

Hey everyone! I am SO EXCITED to be over on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today celebrating Halloween Theme Week with them. There’s a sale and tons of inspiration all week for all things Halloween. Today I have a super cool shaker card to share with you.

I started my card by creating the shaker cauldron. I ink blended distress oxide in ripe persimmon and carved pumpkin on a scrap of white cardstock and set it aside. Then I die cut 8 cauldrons from black cardstock and adhered them to the ink blended scrap. I trimmed the panel down, added my shaker bits, an acetate panel and then one more black cauldron on top and set it aside to dry with acrylic blocks on top of it.

Next, I ink blended my background with more distress oxide ink. Mowed lawn to twisted citron on the bottom, fading into nothing. Then seedless preserves to tattered rose, fading into the same nothing on the top. Then I layered the bat stencil from the Spooky Sky stencil set and blended black ink through that.

Then I stamped and heat embossed the outline fence image from Halloween Borders and a sentiment from Ghost Friends and used the coordinating dies to cut both of them out. I stamped two ghosts from Ghost Friends and colored them with my copic markers before die cutting them as well. I wanted a little something else so I went digging and found this sweet witchy kitty from Halloween Pals. I stamped and colored her with copics too and then cut her out with the coordinating dies.

To assemble my card, I added the background panel to a card base and the fence directly to that. Next, I glued down the cauldron shaker and added foam squares to my images and sentiment. I removed the release paper and adhered those down before moving on to finishing touches.

For that I just added black glaze pen to the eyes that are “open” and glossy accents to the band on the witch hat. Last, I added swooshes of Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the details of both ghosts. Just a little shimmer in the light but it’s fun.

Newton’s Nook – Stamptember

Hey friends! Popping in really quick tonight to let you know the absolutely adorable Newton’s Nook collaboration set for Simon Says Stamp Stamptember is live and available for purchase. This super adorable set has so many scene building possibilities that I can hardly believe it! So much cuteness you’re going to love it!

Today I just chose the couch, blanket and pillow images and one each of the kitty and puppy. I colored Newton like our cat Oreo and the pup like our new puppy Athena. I love customizing these animals! It makes the whole process extra fun. I cut them all out and used liquid glue to adhere them together, then lined the back with foam tape.

I took an A2 panel and inked it up at a diagonal with uncharted mariner and salvaged patina distress oxide ink. Then I laid the Houndstooth stencil over top and added a little more uncharted mariner. I sprayed the panel with a distress sprayer and let it dry. Then I pulled out my LH Colors watercolor and splattered unicorn watercolor on the panel as well.

When the panel was completely dry, I trimmed it down to 4×5.25 inches and placed it in my MISTI to stamp the sentiment on the upper right corner whitespace. I added foam tape and adhered it to a kraft card base before removed the release paper and adding the images last.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the heart on the pillow and both critter noses. Then I came in with white gel pen highlights on all of the images for a little something extra.

Remember these Stamptember sets don’t get restocked so head over and snag yours before they are gone!

Pink & Main – Merry & Bright Mini Slimline

Hey crafty friends! I’m popping in with a little Pink & Main inspiration featuring the stamp and die of the month, plus a freebie set that you can still pick up! They go perfectly together and you’re going to want to snag them before the month is up! The main stamp and die of the month is called Winter Cardinals and the freebie is Winter Birdhouse. They are so adorable and I think they would be fun colored in so many different combos!

I started by stamping and coloring images from both sets with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I chose a sentiment from Winter Cardinals, stamped and heat embossed it on vellum with the new Cranberries embossing powder. It’s glittery and gorgeous! I used the coordinating die to cut it out too.

For the background panel, I trimmed a piece of Barbershop cardstock down to 3×6 inches and inked up the Blizzard stencil with white pigment ink. Then I swapped for the Random Dots stencil and spread Glossy Gel through that one. It dries clear with a fun gloss to it so it adds great interest and texture to the background.

I added foam squares to the images and popped them up on the panel once it was dry. Then I added EZ Squeeze liquid glue to the back of the vellum and patted it off with my finger. This leaves a thin layer to adhere it down but doesn’t show through.

For finishing touches today, I added black glaze pen to the birds’ eyes and glossy accents to their beaks and all of the holly berries. Then I came in with stardust Stickles to all of the snow bits.

I think this is such a sweet and fun card. I’m happy to add it to my stash of Christmas cards, ready for the season!

Miss Ink Stamps – Magical Release Day

Happy Saturday friends and happy release day for Miss Ink Stamps! Be sure to head to the store to check out all the amazing magical goodies that are available for purchase now! Today I have a teeny bit of inspiration featuring Misery Loves Company stamps and dies, along with some stenciling too!

I stamped and colored my images first with copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and used a little liquid glue to adhere them together before adding foam squares to the back.

Then I took an A2 panel of white cardstock and the Ins & Outs Marquis and started inking. First, I placed the window mask down and inked blue around it. Then I layered the new starburst stencil over that and inked it artichoke green. I removed those stencils and added the marquis frame layer next and inked it with a deep dark blue. Then I used the green ink left on my brush to add a shadow where I wanted the images to go.

Using the images as a guide, I placed my sentiment and inked it up. Then I removed the release paper and adhered the images in place. For finishing touches, I added white gel pen highlights on the images and black glaze pen to their eyes.

Then, I opened up the card and added the other half of my sentiment and another image from the Misery Loves Company set.

Products used:
Misery Loves Company stamps and dies
Ins & Outs Marquis stencils
Stars stencil
Foam squares
Liquid glue
