Pink & Main – Sending Sunshine

Hello there! I’m over on the Pink & Main blog today getting inky with some super adorable little gnomes! I love these images and how big they are. Sometimes it’s nice to have one focal point that fills your card front…in today’s case there are two but I just had to add that sweet gift with purchase gnome to the scene.

I started today’s card with an idea in my head so I stamped an image from Gnome Matter What and colored it with my copic markers. Then I decided to stamp cute mini gnomie and color him too. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and set them aside.

I inked up a panel with ripe persimmon, dried marigold and abandoned coral distress oxide inks. I spritzed it with water a used the largest A2 layered rectangle dies to cut it out. Then I die cut a second white panel and then cut a window with one of the layered oval dies. I used liquid glue to adhered the inked panel to a card base and then foam strips to add the oval frame. I selectively added foam squares to my images and used liquid glue where they overlap each other or the frame and put them in place.

For my sentiment, I switched gears and pulled one out from Sunny Greetings and heat embossed it in white on black cardstock. This coordinating die set has sentiment banners that I used to cut it out and then popped it in place with liquid glue and foam squares too.

For finishing touches on this card, I added glossy accents to parts of the butterfly, mushroom spots and flower centers. Then I used star dust Stickles on the gnome cheeks. Last, I added 3 enamel dots from the Falling For You set.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Hoppy Easter

Happy weekend everyone! I have a really fun bonus Pink & Main card to share with you today. I just love these long legged critters in the Love Ewe set and have been wanting to play with them. For today’s card I pulled out the sweet bunny and his carrot.

I had a vision in my head so I started to work stamping the bunny from Love Ewe and a bundle of carrots and colored them with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Next, I arranged my Mask It In-Line stencil on a piece of light blue cardstock and inked up the circles with a blue ink for that tone-on-tone look. Once I removed the stencil I blended the same ink all around the edges for a little texture.

I used liquid glue to adhere my stenciled panel to a card base and then adhered the carrots directly to that panel. I used foam squares to adhere the bunny over the top. I stamped a sentiment from Love Ewe and cut it out with one of the new Large Sentiment Strip dies. Then I used foam squares to pop it up over the bunny’s legs.

For finishing touches, I added glossy accents to the bunny’s eyes and nose and unicorn Stickles to the carrots and bunny’s tail. It’s just too cute with all that shimmer and shine added. I love it!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Happy Bee-Day

Hey everyone! I’m back again to share this great shaker card I’ve got over on the Pink & Main blog today. I recently picked up these sweet bees and the layered hexagon dies after being inspired by my friend Rachelle.

I started this card by pulling out my stamps and dies to lay things on a blank card base and see what I wanted to put where. Then I stamped the images out from BEE Day and colored them with my copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and moved on to creating my shaker mechanism.

For this I cut a piece of yellow Sweater Weather paper with the third largest hexagon twice and then again from acetate. Next I took the fourth hexagon die and cut it from the center of one of the yellow ones so I have a frame. I used scrappy tape to adhere the frame to the acetate window and added double-layered foam to the sides. I ran my anti-static bag around the inside and filled it with shaker bits, then sealed it up with the last hexagon. For the background I chose a piece of paper from the Thankful paper pad and cut it with the second largest layered rectangle die and adhered it to a card base with liquid glue. This gives a nice white border. I used my images and shaker to choose placement for my sentiment and stamped it down next.

I adhered my shaker mechanism with liquid glue an then the images with foam squares and liquid glue. Then I moved on to finishing touches.

I added glossy accents to the flags on the bee hive and bees eyes, along with the candle flame. Then I went in with star dust Stickles on the cupcake frosting, bow on one gift and topper on the cute hat.

Isn’t this card just too fun!?! I love these sweet bees and had a blast creating this shaker!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Easter Peeps

Happy Friday everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful week and are ready for a great weekend ahead! Today I’m over on the Pink & Main blog sharing this set of 4 Easter cards featuring the Easter Peeps stamp set, coordinating dies and some other goodies too! Let’s dive in and I’ll give a little explanation of each one.

Actually, first…I had no direction when I started these cards, just an itch to watercolor these cute chicks so I stamped and heat embossed a bunch of them on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and colored them with my Zig markers and a waterbrush pen. Then…

For this first card, I pulled out the new Happy paper pad and the largest Stackable A2 rectangle dies to create my background. I cut a white circle and, using the green watercolor paper from the same pad, a reverse scalloped circle. I created a shaker mechanism adding some great primrose confetti bits from the Twiddler’s Nook shop. I adhered the background to a card base with liquid glue and the shaker mechanism on that the same way. Then I added foam tape to the back of my images and popped them in place. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set and die cut it with a large sentiment strip and popped it up as well.

I knew that I wanted to make a card with the basket cover die as my background so I pulled that out next and cut it from white. I used liquid glue to adhere it down and added foam squares to the back of my images. For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed it black so it matches the images and did partial die cutting with one of the mod stitched rectangles to create a custom size. Then, to finish this card off I made the smallest stitched bow and added it below the sentiment.

I only had 2 images left at this point so I made a couple of fun clean and simple cards with them. This one, I did some ink smooshing with cracked pistachio distress oxide ink on a white panel, popped my image up with foam squares and stamped the sentiment below it. I trimmed 1/2 inch off the bottom of the panel and added foam tape to the back. Then I stamped a striped background with black ink on a card base and added my panel. This card might be my favorite of all…

For this final card, I trimmed another piece of paper from the Happy paper pad and adhered it to a card base. Then I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 2 strips and popped them up with foam tape. Using my MISTI, I stamped my sentiment and then using a combo of foam tape and liquid glue to adhere my little chickie. I decided to finish this card off with some super cute Happy Mail glitter enamel dots scattered across the card.

I know this was a long post and I’m glad you stuck with me to the end. Did you have a favorite card from the bunch?

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Hey There Sneak Peeks

Hello there friends! Today I have a super fun sneak peek to the new Pink & Main February release for you! The release is available for purchase tomorrow and it’s packed full of soooo much cuteness you won’t be able to handle it!

I have got 6 different sneaks on here for you today! New paper, new enamel dot colors, an embossing folder?!? Oh my goodness! And vertical sentiments plus banner dies??? And don’t get me started on that super adorable bear!

To create my card, I just trimmed patterned paper from the Happy stack down to 4.25×5.5 and adhered it with liquid glue to a card base. I used the new embossing folder on a piece of purple cardstock and trimmed it down to 3.75×4.75. I added a strip of sliver glitter paper to the bottom and popped the panel up with foam tape. I stamped and die cut my sentiment and popped it up as well. Then I stamped and colored my bear with copics and popped him up with foam squares too. For finishing touches, I added a little glossy accents to his nose and some enamel dots scattered around.

I can’t wait for you all to see the new release tomorrow. It’s just wonderful and so happy!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Cherry Blossom Card and Tag Combo

Welcome to the end of the week everyone! Today I’m on the Pink & Main blog sharing a fun card and tag combo featuring the Cherry Blossom set along with some other great dies.

I didn’t have a specific direction for this project but I really wanted to watercolor so I stamped and heat embossed all the images from Cherry Blossom on Bristol smooth cardstock in gold and watercolored them with my Zig markers and a water brush pen. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out and set to figuring out what I was actually going to do with them. Sometimes I really enjoy this process. It’s relaxing to get lost in the process.

For the card, I die cut the Sunburst cover die from black cardstock and adhered it to a card base with liquid glue. Then I arranged my florals how I wanted them and popped them up with foam squares. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Cherry Blossom in gold like the florals and used the coordinating die to cut it out. This is also popped up with foam squares. I trimmed off the excess and my card is finished.

I had images left over so I thought it would be fun to make a coordinating tag. At the same time I didn’t want to use a traditional tag shape so I pulled out the new Layered Oval dies and cut 2 – one from black and one from Bristol smooth cardstocks. I heat embossed another sentiment from Cherry Blossom in gold and glued the ovals together. Then I popped the florals on with foam squares and used a punch to make a whole. I threaded some pink ribbon through the hole and tied it with baker’s twine to finish it off.

I have really enjoyed making coordinating tags to go with cards lately. It’s so fun when things match.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Sending Love

Hey friends! I’m over on the Pink & Main blog on this fine Friday sending some sweet cherub love! These little cherubs are so absolutely adorable and fun to color up really quickly. I feel like they are so versatile for many types of cards – Valentine, baby, sympathy, thinking of you – lots of options! Today I’m sharing a more generic thinking of you card but it could be used for Valentine’s Day too.

For this card, I chose my stamps and paper, and created a general layout before actually cutting or stamping anything. Because of that I let the paper guide the colors I chose for my images. All of the images are from the Little Cherubs set which I colored with my copics. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and moved on to my stenciled background.

For that I used the clouds stencil with my blending brush and some light purple ink. Then I die cut 2 ovals from patterned paper in the All Occasion Florals paper pad and moved on to assembling everything. I adhered the oval layers with liquid glue and backed the panel with foam tape. I attached the cloud panel and added foam squares to my images and put them all in place next.

Then I popped my card front in my MISTI and stamped the sentiment in the same purple ink as the clouds and moved on to finishing touches. For those, I added glossy accents to the flying hearts so they were shiny but you could easily see their cute faces. Then I added Stickles to the other hearts and Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the cherub wings and hair.

Don’t you just love these sweet little images! They are too adorable for words!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Roll With It

Happy Friday friends! We’ve done it again and made it to the end of the week. ❤ I’m over on the Pink & Main blog just rolling with it…sushi style!

I thought these cute sushi images from Roll With It fit perfectly in the windows the Mask It In-Line stencil creates so I paired them together. First I put the stencil down on an orange cardstock panel and inked up the circles with some white pigment ink. Then I replaced the circle masks, put the dotty stencil over them and used an orange ink on those. Then I took the orange ink and went around the edges for a little texture to draw your eye in to the center of the card.

I stamped the images from Roll With It and colored them with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I absolutely love this banner die that comes in the set and perfectly fits all of the sentiments! I popped up the images in the windows with foam squares. Then I used liquid glue to adhere my chopsticks to the bottom and popped the sentiment banner up with foam squares.

For a little extra texture I added glossy accents to the stripes on the chopsticks and parts of the sushi. Then I added Stickles in stardust to all of the sushi cheeks too.

I love this set so much and I don’t even eat sushi! They’re so cute and the sentiments range so much that you can literally use it for almost anything!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – With Sympathy

Hey friends! Happy Friday! I’m over on the Pink & Main blog today with a sympathy card using some goodies from the new release. I find that I’m never in the mood to make a sympathy card when I need one so it’s good to just always have a couple in my stash, ready for such a yucky occasion.

For today’s card, I die cut a white card base and a piece of paper from the Thankful paper pad with the largest Mod Stitched Rectangle and adhered them together with liquid glue. Then I stamped images from Always and colored them with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

At this point I decided not to use the sentiments in the set but a die cut one from the Sympathy Slim Line die set. I cut the shadow from vellum and the words from white cardstock 4 times. I glued them all together with liquid glue and started assembling my card. The heart is added with foam tape and the sentiment is glued directly to that with liquid glue. Then the butterfly was added with a foam square.

I didn’t think it was appropriate to add a lot of bling or shimmer to a card with this tone so I kept finishing touches simple with some Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the butterfly and that’s all.

Once my card was finished I thought it would be perfect to stamp one of the sentiments from Always on the inside with the butterfly images too. I don’t do this often but this was just perfect.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – January Release Sneak Peek

Squeeeee!!!! I’m super excited to be able to share today’s card with you! It sneaks a few products coming up in the next Pink & Main release! And anyone who knows me…knows that I had to get my hands on this dino! Then pairing dinos with Valentines??? I’m so giddy about this!

Isn’t he seriously the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? Yeah, he totally is! I had a blast coloring him up along with the other images with my copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them all out.

I pulled out that awesome Best Friends paper pad and chose 2 patterns. I cut standard A2 rectangles using the layered rectangles dies. From the heart paper I used…what’s this? A new oval die to cut a window. 😉 And then I added foam to the back of the panel and attached it to the gray dots. I added foam squares to the back of my images and put those down next.

For finishing touches, I simply added some Unicorn Stickles on various parts of the images like the dino cheeks, balloons and hearts.

Stay tuned for the next few days on the Pink & Main blog to see more sneak peeks from the rest of the design team. The release does live for purchase on Wednesday, Jan. 20.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
