Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Coffee Love Monster

Welcome everyone! Today is the first Tuesday Tea with Twiddler’s Nook over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog. I had sooooo much fun playing with a bunch of different products from Trinity Stamps to create a coffee love monster. I hope you like her too!

I started this card by die cutting the pieces to my monster using the Make-a-Monster dies. Then I cut the pieces to that yummy frap with the Summertime Sips dies. I took the Heartburst stencil and inked red and dark pink hearts on the cup for a little interest. I die cut the largest Slimline Modern Embossed Panel from light blue and the same red as the monster arms. Then with the red panel I took the cloud die from Slimline Scenic Borders and cut the top off creating some monster hair.

Now for assembly…I did this in steps. I glued all of the frap cup pieces together and then used it as a guide where to glue the monster face on. I glued the monster panel to the blue background panel and moved on to deciding where to add my sentiment. I tried up in the sky but I didn’t like it so I die cut a banner from the Mini Slimline Card and Envelope die set and stamped a sentiment from Love and Stuff on that. This is popped up with foam squares.

Moving on to finishing touches, I decided that my monster was a girl and she needed a bow so I die cut the smallest from the Bunch of Bows set and put it together. I used liquid glue and my tweezers to attach it to the top right side of the monster. Then I pulled out some adorable clay hearts from the Craft Hugs embellishment mix which was an exclusive Trinity handed out at Creativation last year. These tiny hearts were just the ticket to finish off my card.

Phew, that was a lot of steps. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did creating it!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Trinity Stamps – S-mitten With You

Hello everyone! I’ve got a second card to share with you today. I dug through my Trinity Stamps goodies to find something that hasn’t gotten enough love and came across this S-mitten stamp from last Christmas. It’s adorable and punny too, which I love!

For this card, I got all the products out that I wanted to use and arranged them to see if things would fit how I was thinking. It seemed to work so I started on my background first. I used the A-2 Foundation Rectangle Stencil, next to largest, with a blending buddy brush and some red ink. Then I put the Heartburst Stencil over it using mermaid lagoon in distress oxide for one layer and pink glitz gel for the other layer.

Once that was done, I set it aside to dry while I stamped the image from S-mitten and colored it with my copics. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut it out and moved on to my sentiment. For that I stamped and heat embossed the one included in white on black cardstock. I used a banner from the 4-Bar Card Die Set to cut it out. Then I pulled out the Bold Love dies and cut the XOXO from white cardstock 4 times. I colored 2 Xs and 2 Os to match the mittens and glued the layers together. Then I trimmed down a strip of vellum and adhered them to it, including just one white frame layer for each letter.

Moving on to assembly now, I trimmed a white panel down to 4 1/8x 5 3/8 and added foam tape to the back, adhereing it to a white card base. Then I added foam tape to the back of the stenciled panel and wrapped the vellum strip around it. Then I adhered it to the card front as well. I added foam squares to the back of my image and popped it in place and finished things off with a foam strip on the back of the banner sentiment and added it on top of the XOXO.

For finishing touches, I added some unicorn Stickles on the mitten patches and all the little dot detail areas too.

Isn’t this just adorable?!? I seriously, love the colors and texture, and all that dimension! Oh, it’s just fabulous in the light with all that glitter!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Trinity Stamps, Newton’s Nook and Lawn Fawn – Cheers!

Hey friends! We had a VERY special birthday in our family last week and I wanted to pop in to share one of the birthday cards I made to celebrate. My sister-in-law turned the big 21 and we couldn’t let it fall by the waist side.

I was able to pull from some of my favorite companies and create this super fabulous birthday card/gift certificate for her brother to give her. I started things off by stamping and coloring the Trinity Stamps Happy Hour set that came out last year. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. Next I began working on the background with the Newton’s Nook plaid stencil, some olive green and red ink and then I went over it a second time with Thermoweb transfer gel, and then gold decofoil. Pulling from all of those colors, I used the Newton’s Nook circle frames dies to cut a stitched circle from red glitter paper. Then I used a smaller Spellbinders circle die to cut an olive green one to layer.

I heat embossed Happy from Happy Hour on the green circle and die cut 21st from Trinity Stamps Marshmallow Number dies. I used the same ink from the stenciling to go over the top layer of the 21st so it coordinates. At this point I started layering things together and realized that the top of my card was sparse. I dug around and found the scripty cheers die from Lawn Fawn and thought it was the perfect match! I cut it from white cardstock and inked it up with the red and green from the background.

I am so excited about how awesome this card turned out! So much texture and depth with the different cardstocks, layers, heat embossing and decofoil. It’s exactly what I was hoping for.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Trinity Stamps – You’re Not Alone

Hey friends, I’m over on the Trinity Stamps blog today with my first post of the new year. I had a blast pulling out some older product and revisiting it in different ways. I hope you enjoy it.

I started by taping the smallest heart from the Layered Heart Stencils to a panel and used my blending buddy brush with various blue and teal inks, moving the stencil all over. Then I used the smallest Slimline Stitched Panel and die cut it out. I also die cut another panel from white and used the Slimline Scenic Borders to cut some clouds for the top and bottom of my panel. I used liquid glue to adhere them together.

Next, I stamped and colored the images from You Lift Me Up with my copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Using the images as a guide, I stamped the balloon strings to my stenciled panel. Then I adhered the balloons with foam squares and the bears directly to the panel. Next, I used my MISTI to place and stamp my sentiments at the top and bottom of the panel.

Finally, I die cut the largest Slimline Scalloped Panel and used foam tape to adhere my scene panel to it. I cut a slimline card base measuring 8.5×3.5 inches and used liquid glue to adhere my panel to the card front.

For finishing touches, I added glossy accents to the bear’s noses. Once that was dry I added white gel pen to the balloons and over the glossy accents too.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Jane’s Doodles – Sending Warm Hugs

After yesterday’s card I just couldn’t put that sweet penguin away! I decided that we all needed a rainbow of penguins to brighten the day. So, I stamped him out seven more times and colored them in fun rainbow colors!

In case you missed yesterday’s card, this cute penguin came from Jane’s Doodles Hot Cocoa set.

Aren’t they just adorable?!? Seriously, how can you not smile at this. It’s so fun!

After using the scan-n-cut to cut them all out I pulled out the Pink & Main slimline plaid die and cut it from white cardstock. For the panel behind the plaid, I blended spun sugar and picked raspberry distress oxide inks and splattered it with water. Then I flicked some picked raspberry splatters on it as well.

Using liquid glue I adhered the plaid to the inked panel and then carefully inserted my penguins into the plaid lines, adhering them with liquid glue as well. It just works best with the distress oxide ink.

For my sentiment I stamped “sending warm hugs” from the same Hot Cocoa set and cut it apart. I used Trinity Stamps Marshmallow Alphabet Dies to cut “warm” from white cardstock 4 times and adhered the layers together. I popped “sending” and “hugs” up with foam strips and used liquid glue to adhere the die cut letters.

I can’t get enough of these cute penguins and just love how this happy card turned out.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Warm and Cozy Thanks!

Hey friends! I’m over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for one final installment of Tuesday Tea with Twiddler’s Nook for 2020! I’m still stocking my stash with thank you cards featuring some of my favorite winter and Christmas sets that I wasn’t ready to put away just yet.

Today features a few sets from Jane’s Doodles, dies from Trinity Stamps and a token “thanks” from a Lawn Fawn set. I just love these critters and that hot cocoa stand has me dreaming of snow and cocoa adventures.

For my card, I stamped and colored critters and other images from St. Nick, Warm and Cozy, and Hot Cocoa. Then I used my scan-n-cut to cut them all out and set to work on my background. I cut a slimline panel at 3.5×8.5 and another at 2×8.5 to create a snow bank. Using my images as a guide I used the Trinity Stamps slimline scenic borders die to create my snow. Then, I used that as a guide where to place my trees in the background.

I used Trinity Stamps blending buddy brushes to blend on some light blue ink coming from behind the snow bank and a little pink ink coming from the top for a soft sky.

I adhered my snow bank with foam tape for a little dimension and my images with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape to keep everything nice and level. Once those were all in place, I popped my panel in the MISTI and stamped the sentiment in the open area I left in the sky. I used similar copics to color the thanks as the sky so it coordinates.

I finished things off with some glossy accents on critter noses and beaks, and a scattering of Rainbow Blizzard clay snowflakes from Trinity Stamps in the sky. Last, I added some silver Wink of Stella glitter brush on the top of the snowbank and then blended it out a little with the clear glitter pen.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Trinity Stamps – Christmas is Coming!

Merry Christmas Eve my friends and family!!! I’m super excited to be over on the Trinity Stamps blog today sharing one last Christmas card! I had a blast going a little extra on this one and I love how it turned out!

I started by blending distress oxides on a panel for my background and spritzed it with water. Then I die cut the rooftops border die from black cardstock. I trimmed some vellum pieces to go behind the window openings and colored them with yellow copic marker. Using the border as a guide I stamped and heat embossed the main image from Christmas Magic in silver. Then I glued my rooftops border down and switched gears to my sentiment.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Christmas Magic on a strip of vellum and wrapped it around the panel, hiding the adhesive on the back side. Finally, I wanted it to “snow” on my card so I took liquid glue and just added dots in different sizes all over it. Then I sprinkled some snowflake soup glitter all over my card. I patted the glitter into the glue dots to make sure the pieces stuck and left it over night to dry. The next day I adhered my panel to a white slimline card base and it was finished.

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas, celebrating to the fullest this year will allow and find some joy in the season.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Birch Press Design – Winter Thanks

Hello again! I’m over on the Birch Press Design blog today with a pair of thank you cards fit for winter thank yous that we’ll all be sending out soon.

I couldn’t totally decide on a color scheme so I decided to try both ideas and see if I liked them.

I used the Birch Press radial pinpoint plate, floral star and big sugar script sending paired with Trinity Stamps embellishments and the thanks from Lawn Fawn’s Big Thanks set.

The first card has a white bottom layer and gray background for an understated, simpler card but I think it’s beautiful.

Then the other idea I always have with Birch Press layering dies is to add a little bling to one of the layers. It just looks so cool every time! So I added a silver glitter layer to the star, white background and used vellum on the sentiment. Again, beautiful and I love it.

Do you like one more than the other? I think the first one would be better for mass producing as the glitter cardstock can get spendy but I think I like the bling more to be honest.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Pink & Main – Season’s Greetings

Can you believe it’s the last weekend before Christmas? I’m totally stunned at how fast this crazy year has gone. I’m making the most of this time and crafting Christmas right up until it’s here. So I’m over on the Pink & Main blog today squeezing in another beautiful Christmas card to share with you.

I recently got a whole new rainbow of ink pads and was super excited to try them out on this Mistletoe set because the images are pretty solid and can be difficult to get a good impression with. I’m just in love with these and how beautifully they turned out.

To create this card, I cut some strips of cardstock to 3 inches wide and stamped my images on them. When I have a die cut heavy card, it’s nice to do this and sit at my desk using my Mini Maker to cut everything out instead of my big die cut machine which can be daunting. I used the coordinating Mistletoe dies and cut all the images out.

After everything was die cut, I trimmed a piece of light blue cardstock to 4.25×5.5 inches and ran it through my die cut machine with the embossing sandwich and the new houdstooth embossing folder. Then I moved on to assembling my flower cluster down the left side of that panel. Because of the texture I went with liquid glue on the whole thing to make sure things stayed in place. I added a couple of clear blocks on top and left it over night to dry.

For the sentiment, I decided to stamp Season’s Greetings from the same stamp set and die cut it with the smallest Layered Slimline die to create a sentiment strip. I popped it up with some foam squares and moved over to finishing touches.

For those, I decided to keep it simple and used Nuvo Crystal Drops in bright gold on the poinsettia centers and glued a few red jelly drop hearts from Trinity Stamps around my sentiment.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – National Tea Day

Hey everyone! It’s a super special day because, not only is it Tuesday Tea with Twiddler’s Nook, but it’s actually National Tea day and we’re going to celebrate with a whole lot of fun! I’ve got a card share for you and then Amy will pop in with some information about a guest designer opportunity and link up at the bottom. Let’s get started with today’s card share!

Today I decided to pull out a fantastic set by The Cat’s Pajamas called Make Tea. I absolutely LOVE the critters in this set and had so much fun coloring them up. For this card, I stamped and colored them with my copics, then used my scan-n-cut to cut them all out. Next, I pulled out some Lawn Fawn snow day remix paper and the reverse stitched scalloped circle window dies to set my mini scene.

After die cutting and assembling my papers, I used my MISTI to stamp a sentiment over this very chill tea party that’s going on. Since I chose to make this a last minute Christmas card with the patterned paper used, I pulled out the Trinity Stamps Merry Christmas Senti-mini set and stamped a quick Merry Christmas banner which is popped up with foam squares.

For finishing touches on my card, I added some glossy accents to the critter eyes and noses and their mugs. Then I used Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the steam coming from the cups. Last, I glued a scattering of Trinity Stamps Cinnamon Red Hots Jelly Drop Hearts across the design.

AND THEN, on a whim, I decided to stamp on the inside of my card today too. I never do this but I have a couple of crafty friends who do and I always think it’s super cute. So I grabbed a bunny that I didn’t use on the front and another sentiment from Make Tea and stamped it in red ink to coordinate with the colors on the front.

Now, it’s your turn to play! Head over to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog for information on a chance to become a guest designer with us!

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
