Newton’s Nook – Woof You Be Mine?

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I have another sweet chocolate box to share with you today featuring more Newton’s Nook goodies.

If you missed the original post with all of the measurement details, feel free to click HERE to check it out. These are really quick and simple to create. I had a blast making both of mine and will definitely pull the idea back out in the future too!

For this box, I used all red cardstock for my base, lid and sides. Then I found a fun pattern in the Love & Woof paper pad to die cut from the scalloped heart for a background.

I stamped and colored the puppy and a couple of bones from Puppy Heart with my copic markers. After coloring, I stamped my sentiment inside the heart and then used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.

I assembled my box with liquid glue, then popped the scalloped heart up with foam tape. I adhered the puppy with foam squares and used liquid glue for the bones.

To finish the design off I added a few heart embellishments around the puppy. I also added black glaze pen to the puppy’s eyes and whiskers. Then glossy accents to his nose. When the eyes were dry, I came back in with a white gel pen highlight.

Products used today:
Puppy Heart stamps and dies
Love & Woofs paper pad
Heart Frames dies
Liquid glue
Foam squares
Glossy accents
Trinity Stamps Peachy Keen Jelly Drop Heart embellishments

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
