Hey friends! So excited that it’s release week for Newton’s Nook and we’re taking it way back!!! Today we get to reveal the whole release with some fun inspiration and then through the rest of the week we will be highlighting different products each day for more inspiration!
Newton’s Nook Retro Party Release
Today I have a card to share highlighting both sets of toner card fronts, the awesome Party On sentiment stamps and our favorite Newton with his mix tape!
This card started by playing with the new toner card fronts. I first used a silver flower foil on the patterned panel from the Retro Mix Toner Card set, then took the negative foil from that and foiled it on one of the new Solid Black Toner Cards. It’s a great way to stretch your foil and get some fun reverse designs.
After foiling, I stamped and colored Newton’s Mix Tape with copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut him and his music notes out. With a direction on color palette, I splattered my white foiled panel with ink and spritz spray that coordinated and die cut a circle from the upper center. I lined the back of the white panel with foam tape and adhered it to the reverse foiled panel so the patterns matched up.
Next, I added Newton and the music notes with foam squares. Then stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Party On! on one of the banner trio dies. After gluing the ends in place, I popped this up with foam strips as well.
Finally I glued the whole panel to a white card base and tied some neon ribbon to the top. For finishing touches I added glossy accents to Newton’s nose and toe beans, along with the music notes too.
