Newton’s Nook – Retro Party Release Week Day 3

Of course we started our highlights off with the famous Newton, but a fair amount of us are equally puppy fans so we couldn’t leave him out of this party!

Puppy’s Mix Tape stamps and dies

Puppy’s Mix Tape is equally as cute and with a new batch of mix tape titles, some of which are great to mix and match between Puppy and Newton!

For this card, I chose a few bright ink colors and blended them together on a white panel using distress oxide inks. I splattered the panel with water and blotted it dry. Then used the new Music Notes stencil and spread black widow Stellar Paste through for a great shiny background.

I stamped and colored Puppy with copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut him out. *Pro tip I forgot to mention before today – color your images and stamp your mix tape sentiment after to avoid possible smearing of the words.*

With all the pieces of my card ready I started to put it together and decided to change it up a little. I trimmed the stenciled panel down and added a glitter cardstock border. Then I blended some teal ink at the top of my card base before adding the panel with foam tape. Last, I added Puppy with some foam squares to the bottom right corner.

To finish things off today I tied some organza ribbon around the top and added my favorite glossy accents to Puppy’s nose and toe beans like always.
