Hey friends! It’s time for another reveal week for Newton’s Nook! Cozy Christmas is coming your way and today we’re starting off with some fun dies and a new paper pad!
Lovely Knits paper pad and Holiday Accessories die set

If you haven’t snagged the cat or dog builder dies yet, you’re going to want to. They are fun, versatile and the add ons are coming in hot! This time we’re set for Christmas and all things winter plus a cozy sweater paper pad to throw in the mix!
Small disclaimer – I didn’t receive the paper pad before release so my cards don’t feature that yet but I’ll have some to share later on.

So, today I chose to use the dog builder dies and add some fun winter accessories to him and create a sweet winter scene. I die cut the puppy bits from cream cardstock and ink blended and coloring on them. Then I cut the sweater and hat from teal and red cardstock but also used ink blending for some shading. Everything is assembled with liquid glue and reverse tweezers.

I cut a strip of blue cardstock and inked up the Evergreen stencil with dark green ink and a blending brush. Then came over the top of that with the Snowfall stencil and Lunar Paste for shimmery snowflakes in the sky. I actually used the Ocean Borders die to cut the snow drifts which is glued directly to the stenciled panel.

While the paste was drying, I cut “let it snow” from white cardstock four times and used liquid glue to adhere the layers together. I trimmed some red cardstock and glued it to the edges of my white card base before popping up the stenciled panel. Next, I glued the sentiment in the sky and popped the puppy up with foam tape too.

For finishing touches today, I stuck to some white gel pen highlights along the dog and his accessories.
