Pink & Main – Merry Christmas Slimline

Hello crafty friends! Once again we’ve made it through another week and I have some super fun Pink & Main inspiration to share with you. Today I’ve got a slimline card featuring one of the adorable Polly and Pete stamp sets.

I started my card with a general idea in mind but I needed to get some images in my hands to play around with spacing and such. So I pulled out the Polly and Pete Gifts stamp set out and inked it up. I stamped both critters and 3 gifts. I used copic markers to color the images and cut them out with the coordinating dies. After arranging them on my glass mat I landed on a slimline card instead of squishing everything into A2.

For my background I blended distress oxide ink on a white cardstock panel – top to bottom: festive berries, spun sugar, mowed lawn – and spritzed it with water. It was a bit oversized so I die cut it with the largest Layered Slimline die and adhered it to a white card base. Then I cut the reverse scalloped frame from the Blessings Slimline die set and adhered it with liquid glue as well. Then I popped my images up with foam squares.

For my sentiment, I die cut just the Merry Christmas words from the Christmas Greetings die set 3 times – 2 from white and 1 from red – and glued them together before adhering them to the card front.

For finishing touches I added white gel pen accents to the images and unicorn Stickles to the critter’s cheeks and hats. Then I finished my card with a scattering of white pearls from the Essential Pearls set and some Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the sentiment.

These critters are just so cute and happy! I am technically done sending Christmas cards but I’m still having fun creating so I just might have to find someone to pop it in the mail to.

Miss Ink Stamps – Holly Jolly Christmas Tag

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope your week is going nicely. Are you all ready for Christmas? I usually am but I still have packages arriving through the weekend so I’ll be wrapping right up until the moment this year it seems. Oy!

Back to the reason I’m popping in today…crafting!!! I have a SUPER fun Christmas tag featuring stamps from Miss Ink Stamps and a tag die from Trinity Stamps. I wanted to make a coffee themed tag to play along with the Ellen Hutson 12 days of Christmas tags so I pulled out Java Joe’s…but how to turn it Christmassy?!? I started digging and wouldn’t you know that the accessories in the Ice Day stamp set fit perfectly!

This was just too fun to create! I stamped images from Ice Day and Java Joe’s and colored them with my copics. I used the scan-n-cut to cut them out and liquid glue to adhere everything together. I added foam squares to the back and moved on to my tag base.

I stamped the coffee shop, brick detail and a topiary on a kraft slimline tag with sepia VersaFine ink. Then I blended distress oxide ink on the tag – brown edges, red on the building and a little touch of green on the plant. I spritzed it with water and flicked watered down brown and red ink on the tag. Next I snagged some snowflakes from Snow One Like You and stamped them in the background with white pigment ink.

Next, I removed the release paper from the foam squares and popped my images in place. I stamped a sentiment from Holly Jolly in the same brown ink and trimmed it into a strip before popping it up with a foam strip.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the package bow, candy cane and coffee cup lid. Then I added unicorn Stickles to Joe’s Santa hat and black glaze pen to his eyes.

For stability and a clean surface to write on, I die cut another tag from white cardstock and adhered them together before threading my ribbon through the hole and tying it up.

I am SO EXCITED about how this fun tag turned out! I hope you liked it too!

Newton’s Nook – Merry Woof-mas!

Welcome everyone! Today I’m over on the Newton’s Nook blog sharing an adorable circular card featuring an array of products that all just seemed to play so well together!

For this card, I had an idea in my head so I started by stamping and heat embossing the Snowfall Roundabout image on white cardstock. Then I inked it up with blue dye inks and a blending brush. Next, I die cut the inked panel with the largest stitched circle from the Circle Frames die set. I pulled another circle die set from my stash and cut a silver glitter cardstock circle just a bit bigger than the Snowfall panel and last I die cut the largest Circle Frames die from white cardstock.

Now, I stamped and colored a puppy from the Christmas Puppies stamp set with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut him out and chose a sentiment to go with him. I thought it would be fun to use the Speech Bubble dies so I cut one of those and stamped it on there.

I wanted to ground the puppy in the scene so I cut another stitched circle from white cardstock and trimmed the top of it with a Sea Border die. Now for assembly! This card has lots of dimension but I just love it!

I started by adhering the snow drift to the snowfall panel with liquid glue, then I popped up the puppy and speech bubble with foam squares. The snowfall panel is glued directly to the silver glitter circle and that is popped up with foam tape.

I created a circle card base by folding a piece of white cardstock in half and shifted it down about a 1/2 inch before die cutting it with the same die I used for the largest scalloped circle layer.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the puppy’s nose and striped on the candy cane. Then I used unicorn Stickles for the spots on the scarf. Last, I added black glaze pen to the puppy’s eyes to help them pop a little.

Isn’t this card just too cute!?! I can’t get over it! Adorable!

Jane’s Doodles – Christmas Blessings

Hi again! I’m popping in to share that I’m over on the Jane’s Doodles blog today as well. I’m sharing this sweet Christmas card featuring the Merry Mice digital stamp.

I started by choosing one of the mouse images and colored it with my copic markers. Then I trimmed it out and set it aside. For my background, I cut a piece of kraft cardstock and inked it up with some brown dye ink and a blending brush. Then I smooshed some in on my glass mat, watered it down and flicked it on the panel. I also splattered some gold watercolor on the panel for some shimmer.

Next, I die cut a tag from the Trinty Stamps Holiday Tag die set and inked it up with the same brown ink. Then I die cut a Trinity Stamps Nested Heart and embossed it with a Pink & Main houndstooth embossing folder. I inked the edges of the heart and flicked some gold watercolor on it to tie things together.

For assembly, I added the kraft panel to a white card base with liquid glue and the heart to the tag as well. Then I popped the mouse and sentiment up with foam squares. I threaded some gingham ribbon through the tag hole and tied it with baker’s twine. Then I popped the tag up with foam tape.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the mouse’s nose and the ornaments on her tree too. I thought the sentiment was a little stark white against everything else so I just used the ink already in my brown blending brush to tone it down a bit.

Miss Ink Stamps – Coolest Friend

Happy Tuesday friends! I’m over on the Miss Ink Stamps blog today with a fun stencil layered card featuring those new adorable penguins in the Ice Day stamp set.

To create my card, I started with the images. I chose a penguin and some accessories from Ice Day, stamped them and colored them all with copic markers. I used my scan-n-cut to cut them out and set them aside.

Moving on to the background, I chose a light blue piece of cardstock and prepared my Perfectly Plaid stencil with pixie spray. I inked it up with a blending brush and green dye ink. I removed the plaid stencil and centered the Ins & Outs Quatrefoil stencil over the top. I inked up another layer of the same green ink creating a focal point for my images. I switched from the window to the frame layer of the stencil and spread grass green glitz glitter gel through that.

Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down to 4×5.25 inches and popped it up on a white card base with foam tape. Then I added foam squares to my images and arranged them in the window area. I chose a sentiment from the Ice Day set, stamped it and trimmed it into a strip before popping it up with a foam strip too.

For finishing touches I added some white clay hearts with liquid glue and glossy accents to parts of the images like the penguin beak and feet and the bow on the present.

Wouldn’t this card make the cutest birthday card for a winter baby?!? I think so! It’s so fun and also great for guys or girls!

Pink & Main – Magic of the Season

Hi there! Today I’m over on the Pink & Main blog with a fun little slimline Christmas card to share with you! I know most people have sent their Christmas cards out already but I’m just not ready to be done holiday crafting.

I some fun paper piecing the stockings from Stocking Stuffers with plaid paper from the pad including in the Homespun Holiday card kit. Aren’t they too cute!?! Then I stamped the elf from Stocking Stuffers and colored him with my copic markers. Finally, I used the coordinating dies and cut everything out.

I had the idea that I wanted to use the slimline plaid die but also the smallest panel from the Beautiful Slim Line die set too. So I inked up a piece of white cardstock with distress oxide inks in worn lipstick and and spun sugar. I spritzed the panel with water and splattered some black acrylic paint on it too. While it was drying, I die cut the slim line plaid die from white cardstock, then used EZ squeeze liquid glue to adhere it down. Then, I ran that through my die cut machine with the smaller of the panel dies in the Beautiful die set.

I cut a white slimline card base, then cut a piece of red cardstock as close to matching the red stocking as possible and adhered them together. Then I popped the inked plaid panel up with foam tape and finally popped each of the stocking up with foam squares too.

I wanted a different sentiment, so I went digging and found this perfect one in the Winter Snow Globe Scenes stamp set. So I stamped it and cut it out with a Large Sentiment banner and adhered it to the middle stocking.

For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the gnome’s nose, bell and candy cane. Then I came in with unicorn Stickles for his little cheeks! So fun!!!

I’m curious, are you still holiday crafting or have you switched gears already?

Happy Friday everyone! I’m popping in with a quick peek at the card I made for the Miss Ink Stamps | InkOn3 collaboration hop that’s happening on Instagram right now. Both companies have prizes up for grabs so be sure to hop and comment along on Instagram.

For my card, I used stamps and stencils from Miss Ink Stamps and ink and liquid pixie dust from InkOn3.

I inked up the Frosty Flakes stencil with Atelier Marilyn Red ink. I smooshed the ink pad on my glass mat and sprayed it with water, then splattered it on the stenciled panel. Next, I added a drop of liquid pixie dust to the watered down ink and flicked that all over for some shimmer. Isn’t it such a fun background?!?

Then I stamped the pine forest over the top and added a sentiment at the bottom using blackout detail ink. I stamped images from Snow Buddies with the blackout detail ink and colored them with my copic markers. I used the scan-n-cut to cut them out and popped them up with foam squares.

Miss Ink Stamps – One-Layer Slimline Christmas Forest

Hey friends! Today I have a really fun Miss Ink Stamps card to share with you that is literally one layer! I actually don’t think I’ve ever successfully accomplished this before and I couldn’t be more happy with the result!

To create my card, I took a white panel and secured it to my glass mat. Then I taped down the new Treeline stencil toward the bottom. I used Lawn Fawn dye inks and just inked the edge around the trees one layer at a time, shifting the stencil up 1/4 inch each color.

The rainbow I chose for today was, from top to bottom, fresh lavender, mermaid, celery stick, sunflower, peachy keen and guava.

Once I got to the top, I shifted the stencil to use the negative on the bottom half to protect my inking and smeared Thermoweb iridescent glitz glitter gel on the white space. I left it to dry and then trimmed my panel down to 8.5×3.5 inches and adhered it to a slimline card base.

Last, but not least, I popped the whole thing in my MISTI and stamped a sentiment from Deck the Halls in the upper right and this card is finished!

I have been very into rainbow Christmas cards this year for some reason. They are just happy and make me smile! I hope you are enjoying them too!

Trinity Stamps – Merry Ornaments Slimline

Happy Wednesday everyone! Thanks for stopping by. Today I’m over on the Trinity Stamps blog sharing a slimline card featuring a new cover plate and my favorite alphabet dies of all time!

To create my card, I just die cut the Slimline Hanging Ornament Panel die from white cardstock. I kept all the pieces so that I could color the ornaments with my copic markers. Then I cut the hanger piece of the ornaments from silver foil cardstock and started coloring.

Here’s a look at all the pieces and the copic colors I used on the ornaments. After they were colored I added foam squares to the back of each one and used liquid glue to adhere the silver toppers to them too. Then I adhered the main panel to a white slimline card base and popped each ornament in its place.

I threaded some silver cord from my stash through each one and glued the ends to the edge of the card. After the glue was dry I trimmed off any excess and added white gel pen highlights to each ornament.

For my sentiment I die cut MERRY from the marshmallow alphabet die set in white glitter and black cardstock. I glued the layers together and adhered them to the card front with a combination of foam strips and liquid glue. Then I went digging in my stash for a “Christmas” stamp and found this perfect one in the Tree Rex stamp set. I stamped and heat embossed it, cut it into a strip and popped it up with a foam strip.

Isn’t this card just so much fun!?! I’m so happy with how it turned out and had a blast creating it. I hope you enjoyed it too!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Gerda Steiner | Smells Like Christmas

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! It’s time for another Tuesday Tea over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today. I’m sharing an adorable Christmas card featuring a new-to-me stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs that a friend gifted to me.

I knew I wanted to use this cute mouse and the cup of hot cocoa from the set so I stamped them out but didn’t get any farther than that for a bit. Later on I was scrolling through reels on Instagram and one popped up with someone weaving strips of clay and it hit me! So I headed up to the craft room, chose a fun color palette and cut 1/4 inch strips of the colors and started weaving them together.

Then I colored my images in the same palette that I used for the paper weaving and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I die cut a banner from Newton’s Nook and stamped a sentiment on it before adding foam squares to the back of everything.

Next, I ink blended a white panel with tumbled glass and salty ocean distress oxide inks and spritzed it with water. I stamped the last word for my sentiment in the bottom right corner before adhering the panel to a white card base. Then I added the paper weaving and popped my images and banner in place last.

For finishing touches, I added glossy accents to the mouse’s nose, mittens and boots and the marshmallows in the cup. Then I glued a scattering of snowy day clay embellishments from the Twiddler’s Nook shop around the whole card.

Isn’t this card so happy and fun!?! I just love how it turned out!
