Mama Elephant Hilly Hello Card

Welcome back! Thanks for stopping by to check out this adorable Mama Elephant hilly hello thinking of you card. I had an itch to color some Mama Elephant little agenda monkeys earlier this week and when my new Mama Elephant order came in the mail I thought this new die would be perfect to use with them.

Here’s how I did it.

  • Die cut the hilly hello from a piece of white cardstock, ink blended it with cracked pistachio distress ink and spritzed it with water.
  • Attached that to a card base and used a cloud stencil to add a few clouds to the sky with salty ocean distress ink.
  • I stamped the monkeys with Versafine vintage sepia ink on Bristol smooth cardstock and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then die cut them all out and attached them to the card with tape runner.
  • Last I stamped the sentiment from Avery Elle’s simply said hugs and added some clay hearts from Honey Bee stamps.

I love how you can pair so many brands together and come up with a totally cohesive, adorable card like this. These monkeys have a special place in my heart and I love this soft, simple card.

As always, I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a great day!

Mama Elephant Party Animal Wiper Surprise Card

I’ve been itching to try one of these cards since Mother’s Day when my family surprised me with a huge Mama Elephant haul! I was totally overwhelmed. It was fantastic and I’ve been having so much fun with all of it.

If you’re interested in the basics of the wiper surprise click here to go to the Mama Elephant You Tube page for a tutorial. Otherwise here are the basics on how I created this adorable birthday card.

  • I stamped, colored and die cut all the critters and bigger accessories from the Party Animals stamp set.
  • Cut two panels from the main die in the wiper surprise set. Using a Simon Says Stamp cloud stencil I blended cracked pistachio distress ink on the back panel for a sky effect. Then covered the other panel with mowed lawn distress ink and die cut with a Lawn Fawn grassy border die cut.
  • Following the video, I assembled the basics of the card and wiper mechanism first and then embellished with the critters.
  • Since I used a combination of liquid glue and tape runner, I let it sit for a minute so the glue could dry. To finish it off I added white gel pen accents throughout the images and glossy accents to all the noses, candle flames, stars on the hats and both balloons.
  • The next morning when the glossy accents were dry, I stamped a stacked sentiment on the right side to complete this fun birthday card.

Look at that little chickie popping up when you pull the sides. It’s just to die for! I love this so much, I keep playing with it over and over again.

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Mama Elephant Little Monkey Agenda Card

Hello everyone! It’s been a little bit since I’ve been on here but it’s not due to lack of crafting. I’ve been making cards like crazy. For Mother’s Day my amazing little family gave me an extraordinary Mama Elephant haul which was delivered on Monday. I am over the moon for these monkeys so I stamped them all and started coloring immediately! Here is the first card I made with them. I still have enough monkeys left over for 2 more cards that I have sketched out!

Here is my finished card. If you notice, the background is the one of the ink smooshing backgrounds I posted about last week. I colored the monkeys with copic markers and die cut them out.

Then, I die cut the Mama Elephant Grid Window from white cardstock and also craft foam and layered them together. Then glued it to the card base and started laying out my monkeys. I attached the monkeys with foam squares for added dimension and then stamped a sentiment from the Avery Elle Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set on white cardstock and layered it on a slightly bigger piece of black cardstock to help it pop.

I opted to leave the inside of the card empty until I’m ready to use it so it’s perfect for ANY occasion that pops up! I’m so in love with these monkeys. Be prepared to see a lot of them in the future!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. As always…

I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!
